The Other Linux Thread
Insanitic replied to skeevy's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Thanks for the reply. When I tried it with the open source drivers, KSP and ubuntu in general was going at about 5 fps. When I tried opening the x86 version, nothing happens. I doubleclick on the executable and nothing happens. Also I've already applied the file name fix and my problem still persists. -
The Other Linux Thread
Insanitic replied to skeevy's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Thanks for the informative post Skeevy. I have a problem though with my KSP x64 build on Ubuntu 14.04. I have AMD's latest proprietary drivers installed and have tons of mods in my GameData folder also. I have transferred my Windows save file to my linux build. So I launch the x64 build of KSP and everything goes fine and dandy until I arrive at Kerbal Space Center bird's eye view point right after you load a save file. After a few seconds or so, KSP completely freezes, and a few seconds after KSP freezes, my whole compy freezes (not even the numlock light and mouse is working). Does anyone have insight to this problem? I have read somewhere that it might be due to the fact that I'm using beta drivers version 14 and I need to downgrade to catalyst 13.12. -
[0.22] UbioZur Welding Ltd. 2.0 Dev STOPPED
Insanitic replied to UbioZur's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Can anyone shed light as to why after I have welded my ship together and I launch the ship and leave it to go to the space centre it then disappears completely? I have read somewhere that it has something to do with it reloading the database in game or something? But I'm not entirely sure. -
Is there a limit to how many recievers can be connected to a relay power grid? I have set up a base on the Mun made up of 2 ISRU refineries (so far) to mine for water and create fuel. One of the miners receives power from my fusion power generators in orbit around Kerbin (yes I know, it's FILLED with relays and power generators because I was getting desperate), but the other doesn't, even when the other IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE ONE RECEIVING POWER and has it's receiver dish angled at the same direction. as the one that is receiving power. Can anybody provide insight to this? I have included screenshots of my power grid around Kerbin and my two miners.

Thanks for replying. I'm playing on sandbox mode and by default, all the radiators are graphene. Maybe I have to put more lol. But is there a way to limit the amount of power recieved then? Update: I tried decreasing the reception bar to 1 and it decreased the input power to around 100 MW, but I still overheat, even when I stick 6 huge graphene heat radiators.

When using receivers, is the heat generated a function of the amount of power received? I have an extensive fusion power grid around Kerbin, and I can receive around 18000 MW of power using the transmitter/receiver/relay combo antenna, but no matter how many heat radiators I install, I still overheat.

Hi guys, this is my first time using Interstellar. I have a bit of a problem. I have 4 fusion reactors in orbit around Kerbin at 350 km and all are set to transmit. I have put 4 relay stations at 350 km in such a way that I know that they are in sight of any of the 4 reactors at any given time. But when I turn on the relay option, it shows that there are no satellites connected and I'm not receiving power. Can anybody shed light on this? Maybe I'm missing something? Any help would be appreciated. Oh and thanks to the devs for an awesome mod!

Can any AMD users confirm this? I keep hearing from Nvidia users (no offence ) and am wondering if it is true that AMD cards suck as rendering in opengl for this game. I have tons of mods also.

Is it just me, or is my opengl performance REALLY bad? I have a 7970 card and I've noticed people with nvidia cards feel as if they have better performance compared to being on normal dx9?
