  1. During a Mun landing my right mouse button for rotating view stoped working, and visiting space center and going back to the vehicle usually helps in this kind of sutuations. However, as I go to the space station and enter the tracking station to return to my lander, it appears that controls are disabled there as well. All the buttons are grey, and those that aren't I can't press either (the ones selecting filters to the top for displaying various kind of artifacts). Noting happens when I press anything. Here is how it looks: Is there anything I can do to prevent such situations when I end up with unusable interface?
  2. $ uname -r Linux leika 3.14-1-686-pae #1 SMP Debian 3.14.12-1 (2014-07-11) i686 GNU/Linux CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Video: Nvidia GeForce 8800Gt The game runs mostly perfectly, except two situations, which feature stutter and sound crunching. First, and the most frustrating, is that it stutters in VAB, but only at certain camera rotation directions. Particularly at the default direction facing launchpad, the one that you can't change until you place your cockpit Stutter diminishes when you point your camera at the wall of VAB opposite of the entrance. And the second thing is that in tutorals game stutters as well when some messages are popped which you can't close until you satisfy some condition. Particularly, at the asteroid rendezvous (thanks KSP for teaching me that fancy word) mission part 1, when you are asked to set your orbit to < 10 km to asteroid rendezvous point. As soon as you set the right orbit, "Next" button becomes available, and as you click it, stutter vanishes.
  3. Hi all, a newby here. I've been playing KSP dedicatively for 3 days, not a lot of experince but I'm loving the game. I find it most challenging and interesting to fulfill those stupid difficult and cheap contracts that ask to do something extremely stu... specific in the atmosphere, like activating a huge engine made for the initial lifting at 20 km altitude. I've found a lot of great tutorials on KSP, but the topic of properly figuring out such low trajectory (max altitude, speed and landing point) was somehow omitted by tutorialmakers. The atmospheric drag makes things very complicated. For example, on a "fly above this point" mission I tried ascending to 15 km and from there targeting the destination point, but the once atmosphere became dense enough I started to spin rapidly and got completely off-course. So, can you provide the equations related to getting to a certain speed/altitude in the atmosphere, or just general tips on how to choose the right parts and control the vehicle?
