SPACE STATIONS! Post your pictures here
Sinister Dexter replied to tsunam1's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I made this six-spoked, circular station reminiscent of 2001: A Space Odyssey. I play with RemoteTech so it has four dish antennas. I like how the solar panels turned out. Having 24 XL panels pointed 12 different directions means more than enough power no matter which way the station is oriented and they are all safely out of the way of docking vessels. -

I built this station because I wanted something impressive but without too many parts. I built it around empty booster cores because they are lightweight for their size and give you fuel crossflow capability. It weighs in at 170 parts. You can see two small craft docked with it in the background. -
The MachingBird Revive! 0.90 update

I'd like to enter my jet, the Porco Dio. It's manned, stock, version 0.90, and reached a speed of 2305 m/s. http://imgur.com/a/aCPI5 -
I'm building a light probe with RCS. It's so light that the number of RCS ports has a noticeable effect on the mass listed in the vehicle assembly building. If I put lots of RCS ports on it, will it really have no impact on my delta V or my TWR? Is the mass listed in the vehicle assembly building unreliable for tiny craft with massless parts? Just to be clear, I'm using the stock "Place-Anywhere 7 Linear RCS Port". To spice this up a bit I'm attaching pics of the unfinished probe. As you can see, it has the 4-way RCS thruster blocks on it now. I think it would look better with the linear ports but I'd need more of them.
