Video Wednesday: One small step for Kerbals!
Dreambish replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
Can someone please give him a crash course? And not a CRASH BOOM AAAGGHHH JEB DIED course, he does that well enough already. Right now he is making KSP seem like one of the hardest games ever, so pray to the Kraken that he doesn't alienate all his subs to this game. I'm busy with career myself and its pretty simple once you read a couple of the more helpful guides out there. -
Tweakable Textures for RCU's
Dreambish replied to Dreambish's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Yeah, I'm stuck with clipping tiny probe cores into other plane parts; this always feels somewhat risky and cheaty. Also, the service bays seem to look more like rocket parts than plane parts, and they have a habit of detaching parts with their doors when they open. Ty for your feedback.- 2 replies

I immediately downloaded this as it was so small. But does it only add plumes to SRB's or all engines? Also if someone could post some links to small, well-made visual enhancement mods i would appreciate it.

Something that annoys me when building remote controlled planes is that unless you use the spaceplane parts, your remote control unit has to be a grey, protruding disk. I don't want my planes to look like an anaconda swallowing a dustbin lid everytime i attempt a safe, pilotless test flight. Is there a possibility of adding a tweakable in the VAB/SPH that allows you to switch between the standard grey texture and a smooth, Porkjetalike finish? My OCD with aerodynamic shapes prompted me to post this.o_o Thanks for any thoughts.

Enable Collision on Terrain Scatter
Dreambish replied to Andrew Hansen's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I think i would personally prefer clouds or other visual enhancements that do not affect gameplay, but having to *SCREEEEEEEE* *DODGE* when you encounter terrain scatter in your rover sounds like an extremely entertaining addition to gameplay. -
Something about the Giant Steam Clouds and air intake "devil horns"makes this terrifying... also its gargantuan size and many-jointed legs make my worst mech-mares pale. If this was implemented in a horror game, they wouldn't have to change it at all. It would be epic!

Lander control methods
Dreambish replied to cephalo's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I like to pulse the thrusters by spamming X and Z really fast. This removes the problem of fiddling with the clumsy shift/ctrl buttons and it also looks and sounds awesome. (and is really inefficient I really shouldn't try to give logical advice. Just watch Scott Manley. Seriously.) -
Massive steady reusable heavy SSTO (rocket)
Dreambish replied to Warzouz's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
@Laie on Drogue chutes: Like any other. They seem to be a little pointless right now: ordinary parachutes act as drogues when semi-deployed... I never really felt the need to add drogues. They seem nice for small, awesome planes that you just want to have a small, red braking parachute trailing behind it after landing : -
Belly landers for airless muns?
Dreambish replied to Skorpychan's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Also, all the "lander not aerodynamic when chubby" problems can be solved by launching it to orbit in various parts (#hoorayforfairings) and then docking -
Counting down the days until KSP 1.0: Day 3

Awe inspiring... HD remake would really be something, yeah... Somehow now I feel like I could wait much longer for the update and still be hyped every day. Epic Soundtrack. 'Nuff said.
