Thanks for the suggestion I will try it, I had thought I recorded the screen caps on my backup fresh install but I guess I recorded them on my modded install lol my bad, my hope was to help narrow down the culprit so you wouldn't have to weed through the mods. I will try the save/load suggestion and trying it without those mods as well. Thank you again, will keep you posted. --Update Save/Load did work. Also tried removing the mods you suggested, removing tweakableeverything also seemed to fix the issue as well as craft history.
  2. Currently having an issue where whether I try using the onion or asparagus option it removes all parts from the craft and if you click the craft it then becomes invalid. Even if you try to just launch after using onion or asparagus without clicking the craft. Stages will not be correct for onion, asparagus seems to stage but system doesn't realize it.   3. I apologize if this was already mentioned, I read there previously was a problem with crafts showing up hence the show unloadable crafts. My question is, does this mod not work with the stock crafts or do you have to move them to another directory for the mod to see them? Currently When I go to load and have hide unloadable crafts unchecked I see no crafts at all. Now if I start building and come back the auto-save craft does show up but none of the stock crafts do.   4. Thank you for that info, I guess I missed that I apologize for troubling you with something so simple. I had a suspicion it might have been ATM but because it wasn't causing an issue with any other mods I didn't check it. Thank you again for the help I'll check into that solution and will also as suggested try to inspire the ATM devs to address the issue.
  5. Anyone have problems where only part of the textures work, the other ones don't load and the pieces just show up as black objects with out any textures? Thanks in advance for all help, amazing mod absolutely love it. I've been trying to use the rotatrons to rotate a fuselage and create some artificial gravity while in orbit. Edit: I forgot to mention I tried removing and reinstalling the mod. No change. Thanks again.   6. lol definitely true about the netbooks, computer tech has come a long way in a short amount of time. I was just curious if there was anything that could be done improve performance on those high part ships whether it was a setting or a mod. I'm just guessing that my bottleneck is my cpu having to do the physics for said pieces on the ship. I wonder if its also an optimization issue or whether having more cores for example the 8/16 thread i7 or the 8 thread amd fx or higher clock speeds in general would help.
  7. So what sort of FPS do you get? I was getting like 5 lol and I wouldn't necessarily say my build is a wimp or anything. Gefore GTX 970 Superclocked, i5 2500K, 20GB 1600Mhz RAM, 120 SSD.
  8. Hey let's not be negative lol, haven't tried that yet will post the outcome. That actually reminds me of a different question I was wondering about, I've seen ships in the exchange here with 500+ parts and in their demos just displaying the ship it's smooth. Haven't tried anything more than 30 yet with new openGL and ATM setup but previously I want to say anything 200 or more just in hanger was too choppy/laggy. Would that have been related to the memory issue, or do high part ships always cause fps tanks? Just trying to figure out how they demo it and even build it if their fps is about 3 or so like mine is. I mean my system isn't the best but not bad, i5 2500k stock clock, gtx 970 super clocked, 128gb ssd, 20gb 1600mhz ram Edit: After many failed rendezvous with my orbiting station-in progress lol I have seen the fps tank during both re-entry and leaving the atmo. Depending on the ship part count 200 and under I get about 25 fps which from what I understand isn't bad for using both ATM and OpenGL together with about 40 mods installed. Anything over that and it drops substantially last test with 300 parts I had to zoom all the way out when leaving otherwise I was getting about 5 fps lol
  9. Just tried openGL mode still on 1024x768 just for a base line and dropped memory from 2.7gb to 1.9gb so far on this res not really noticing any framerate issues. Next I'll try ATM with DX Tried openGL and ATM and memory issue solved, went all the way down to 1.3GB and that's at 2880x1620 with all graphics up. Thanks again for everyone's input issue has been solved.
  10. Thanks so much for the reply I will definitely check that out to see of using GL and texture management will make my install more stable. I just finished doing a fresh install and adding all the mods back one by one to try and find the culprit myself and surprisingly I have had no issues so far. Exact same mods just fresh install and it actually seems to be running more stable than the aforementioned install lol. So not quite sure what the issue was, even the hesitation is gone. Still going to check out GL and texture management options, also doing some game resolution testing to see if that's part of the issue. Native resolution is 2880x1620 starting at 1024x768 and working up, will keep this thread posted on progress. Thanks again for the reply. - - - Updated - - - Thanks for the input, I can't believe I missed that when I checked the log, definitely makes sense. For the ATM, would you recommend the aggressive or basic version? Also do you know how much of an impact the compression might have on the visual quality of the textures I know it says it cuts the texture res in half or 1/8 I think. Not sure if that would end up being any improvement on the stock texture at that point. Probably a dumb question I suspect my game resolution would also affect the memory issue, would playing at a lower red help too?
