  1. Update.  Still broken but I tried a couple other things and managed to break them differently.  Take a capsule or cockpit.  Put two servos on it in mirror symmetry mode.  Don't modify the angle limit.  Launch.  Open up the servos' menu.  Slide the slider all the way right. Then slide the slider all the way left and the whole window breaks.  The slider disappears and the servos lock up.  what squad?

  2. As near as I can tell, since 1.8.1, servos in any sort of symmetry mode are now broken.  Using two servos in symmetry mode works fine in the editor, but on the runway only one moves.  I even tried to work around it by building the servos and attached parts in non symmetry mode, but apparently it seems that if you use any symmetry on the craft at all, it breaks both servos and neither move.  This is a craft that literally worked just fine yesterday.  So I tried a simple cockpit and two servos.  One servo works fine.  Two servos work fine, until you change the limits on the servo.  After that one servo turns and the other is frozen.  It doesn't matter how I try it, something is getting broken across the mirror plane of the craft.  Just spent an hour on it and I'm exceedingly frustrated.  Hope a bug fix happens soon.

  3. So I spent an hour or so building a drive-able strand-beast.  I built the front half first and and used wheels for the back half.  I said bloody hell it works.  The three legs in front are pulling the thing around.  So I ditched the wheels and put in three more legs on the back half.  I programmed them so that they would be asynchronous with the front half to make the thing ride steady.  Somehow, even though I hadn't edited them, the front legs just stopped working.  I was using a single KAL 1000 to control 12 parts and initially in the editor it worked properly but when I went to launch, several of the hinges stopped working.  Now here's the weird thing, Upon reverting to the hanger, those same parts were broken inside the hanger too.  This is defiantly a bug.  I reloaded the same ship file and still broken.

I hope squad fixes this one quick.  I can offer the craft file if it helps, but I'm not sure how to upload it.

  4. The Idea of broadcasting my love of KSP by literally wearing it on my sleeve only popped into my head last night, and one of the first things I did this morning was check out the KSP store for merch.  I was sadly disappointed.  So I searched further afield and found a bunch of T-shirts and hoodies.

I'm not really a T-shirt guy so no interest there, but I do have an idea that I think would be totally killer.

KSP mission patches and pins.  Think how cool having a Mun or Duna badge would be.  I'd do it myself if I had any artistic talent, but I'm sure there's people out there who would love to do the design work.  Still I would love to go around with a "Duna or Bust" or maybe a "To Jool and Back Again" badge pined to my jacket.

Just an idea I had last night.

Actually the only fix is to use the newest Contract Configurator mod, it got a workaround:

KSP didn't spam a single message since I use the latest version of CC.

Thanks mate, but I think I'm just gonna wait until the next release.  Maybe spend some time playing around with the new making history missions or build something crazy in sandbox.  But it's really good to hear someone found a workaround.

  6. Hey, so since update 1.4.2, I'm now getting a ton of useless messages regarding my contracts.  Like if I'm supposed to test a certain part at speed and altitude, I'm getting messages telling me I'm at the required speed or altitude even if I don't have the part on the craft.  When you have like a dozen contracts going at the same time, it gets really irritating, because I'm getting messages constantly and none of them relate to what I'm actually doing.  This is something that cropped up as soon as I installed 1.4.2.

Is there a way to turn this off?

I'm running a stock install with no mods.  The only weird thing I can think of is I started this career in 1.4.0 and carried it through until 1.4.2.

    Thanks in Advance

    UPDATE:

It's gotten even worse.  I have a contract for a satellite that specifies "Maintain Stability for 10 Seconds", and now every 10 seconds if I'm not rotating or accelerating, and no matter what craft I'm flying or what orbit it's in, I'm getting a notification that I maintained stability for 10 seconds.

Please help, this is really bizarre and annoying.

  8. So I just bought a pair of Logitech T16000Ms and I was excited to have one stick for pitch and roll and a second for translation but I can't seem to get axis from the second joystick to assign.   It seems to be that the problem is related to the fact that both joysticks are identical and have the same name in windows.  I confirmed this with another joystick I have in my collection.  One that I don't really want to use.  I'd prefer not buying another controller if I don't have to.

What I'm really asking about is if this is a problem that can be solved with a work around or future update.

    Any info would be appreciated.
