  1. Hello! i was wondering if i could get some help. i want to run DMP but it always gets stuck at the end of the loading screen, not the black spinning planet one, but the yellow bar with pictures and splash text. it suddenly starts 1/3 of the way through the download, goes back to the start, then goes to the asset bundle definitions for 1/4 of a second, and instead of the usual podcockpit being the last thing that needs to load, it's now a radialdrill. module manager also states that 0 patches have been applied, so maybe i installed it wrong. as far as i know, it never moves past this stage, so i don't know what could be wrong.

EDIT: ok, scratch everything, i got it working! lol i just needed to verify the integrity of KSP and re-download it and i'm good. great mod though!

  2. hi! i got hyperedit and it's pretty cool, but i would like to address an issue: if i edit the orbit of a body, let's say the mun, i can add or subtract the number, press apply and it's fine, but if i edit it again, KSP goes unresponsive. no matter what i do, editing something twice makes the game unresponsive. just wanted to let you know so you could fix the issue! it may just be my laptop though, but it's pretty good. i'm not sure, look in to it!

EDIT: whoops! it was only because i set the target object and the reference objet to the same body over and over... how silly! great mod though!

i made this exact post yesterday in my own thread, and someone told me to come here to ask for help. i followed every instruction in the description of the mod, and result 1 popped up (you'll see what i mean in a second). if it is even possible to still install OPM, i would appreciate someone telling me how. thanks! :)

Anyways, i've been struggling to find a way to install OPM because it's my very first mod. i have installed tons of different versions of Kopernicus, and different versions of the planet pack, trying them in all of KSP's versions from when the mod was released up to 1.3.1, and i always get 3 results:

1st: everything starts out OK, as the game loads up i can see items from the planet pack being loaded, but once i get into the main menu, a screen pops up saying there was an error in the loading process, and loading your saves is not recommended, because it could corrupt them. This is the most common result. if i ignore this message and start a new save, it leads into the second result.

2nd: everything is OK until i either continue a save or make a new one. i then get an infinite loading screen with the KSC night crickets playing in the background. i have given this loading screen hours to do anything, and nothing happened.

3rd: the game goes up to the KSC, and when i check the tracking station, Sarnus, Urlum, Neidon and Plock are nowhere to be found.

I have been trying to install the mod for 3 days now, and these three results keep coming up with no matter what advice i take and what combination of Kopernicus, OPM and KSP updates i try. it's really frustrating! :( so if anyone can help, it would be much appreciated. thanks again! :)

Hi! after reading Galileo's help page, turns out all i did was not put the folders that were in the downloaded GameData folder into the real GameData folder. thanks for everyone's help though! i'm cuurently taking a tour of the Sarnus system and it's breathtaking! :D

Welcome. :) Forum users who tell you to click on them to get where you need to go will likely have a signature (an area under any of their posts, containing links and pics). Mine, for example, leads to mods I own and make. What Galileo means is for you to click the red button in his signature and it clearly says in it "How to get support." Once you understand how to provide a log for modders to diagnose, post your log somewhere online (not into the forum itself) and then share a link so the modder can access it.

ohhhh! i thought it was on his page, not in that little box below my comment! i didn't see it there! thank you so much!

Please see the “how to get support” button in my signature and post a screenshot of you gamedata folder

Sorry to be a bit nooby, but i'm new to this whole forum thing, i actually only made this account to get the opm thing working. how do i get there? when i chick on your name, i can't find the button. sorry for bugging you! :/

My first advice is to use the most up to date versions of everything.  It ought to work with the new versions, so using outdated stuff isn't really helpful.  Install the most current versions and then provide the information requested by Galileo.  Someone should then be able to figure out what you're doing wrong.

i just did so, and result 1 popped up. thanks for the suggestion though.

  8. Hi! I've been struggling to find a way to install the outer planets mod for KSP, because it's my very first mod. i have installed tons of different versions of Kopernicus, and different versions of the planet pack, trying them in all of KSP's versions from when the mod was released up to 1.3.1, and i always get 3 results:

If anyone can help me, for example a combo of KSP, Kopernicus and OPM that works, it would be much appreciated! thanks! :)
