  1. If I use mechjeb for rendezvous or docking, advanced transfer, etc. it acts up if there is a computer core/iHAL/probe core and a pilot aboard. Basically it will make a maneuver, but instead of waiting until the right time it will immediately execute it, causing serious problems like decaying orbit, crashes (not the program, but the ship), etc. I tried things like disabling mechjeb on the computer core but it does not change anything. Either the ship is unmanned, or the ship has a pilot but no computer core. Also randomly if I use docking autopilot it will not dock at all, and the part where it says error x, y, z will have a huge number, like -1000m/s or something. I sometimes have to select another docking port, or manually move the ship closer until it will work correctly. I'm using 1.8.1 and real solar system. I used principia but got sick of it because it was causing serious performance issue on my computer ( if I try to time warp at 600,000x which is necessary if I want to go to planets like Saturn or something, it will stutter badly). So I deleted Principia. I'm using the development version. Do you think it's a bug?
  2. Is there any way to change this? It's really annoying. I don't like night launches because night is REALLY dark, as in I can't see anything, pitch black, and it makes it hard for me to do anything safely.
  3. For me sunrise is around 10:30am and doesn't get fully day til 2pm, and sunset is at like 8pm Like I said almost like winter in Norway even in Florida or S America.
  4. I don't know if this is something everyone notices but when I use Real Solar System, using the default launch site (Kennedy Space Center), it's always night. I mean like more than 18hrs a day! Florida day night cycle is nothing like this, even in the winter. But regardless of the day of the year (and using Principia which accounts for planetary tilts and stuff), the day night cycle in the northern hemisphere is more like Norway in the winter! Is this a bug or a feature?
  5. Update on inter-body transfers with Principia. Mechjeb can work, but you have to watch it. It helps by allowing you to automate some of the more mundane stuff (like playing guessing games with which way to go!). But you use the feature to allow you to target planets, you can use Mechjeb as usual but you must fine tune it
  6. I don't even use landing function with MechJeb anymore. If I use it, it will modify your orbit to intercept the landing site but it will then do a burn to crash (and I do mean crash) right into the landing site, without any braking burn at all! It assumes every planet you want to land on has an atmosphere. And for planets with an atmosphere where you can aerobrake, it does not deploy the parachute either. Basically if you use it and leave it alone, you will find your ship destroyed. They're great for lining your ship's orbit with your landing site, and if your landing planet has a thick atmosphere, it will guide you to it, accounting for atmospheric braking. So just move the red thing over your landing site. Then arm your chute and wait. If it's power landing in a planet with low atmosphere (like Mars), or the moon, then fly over the landing site at speed and then brake right over it, then power land slowly until you hit your site.
  7. Ok, I got a question now... Before Principia I can choose a target and then base my maneuver around this, but now that's not possible. So I would have to make burns prograde, retrograde, normal, etc. and hope the pink line will intersect my target. This wastes fuel like crazy. And since I can't point the SAS at target anymore I have no idea how to get close to target, let alone dock with it. Worse problem is doing Trans Lunar Injection. Now I got close to the moon but no way I can ever actually orbit around a moon or whatever. MechJeb doesn't work because you can't target anything anymore. So how am I supposed to dock with anything or make interplanetary transfers?
  8. I am having a problem with RSS and Principia. I uninstalled RSS and Principia worked fine, but as soon as I install RSS the game crashes if I try to create or load a game.
