I've been experimenting with different engines and tanks. I put a stock LFR under your 2m tank with a CC and 1m-2m shroud and that sucker went to 38km and burned for 2:20 on about 75% power.

SaturnV based Heavy Lifter using stock+Wobbly Rockets parts.
I'm going to try and see if I can get a second 3m fuel tank to work.

SP- Could you make a RCS module that is simply a reskinned fuel tank. That way you don't need an extra fuel tank to add a small LFR to it and a command module.

Nice update!
Have a suggestion also-
a 1m engine with 2 of your medium K2-X engines side by side, to make it like a early Titan rocket
maybe 2 versions, offset 90* from each other to the rockets can be oriented left-right or front-back.
ETA- bwahaha- command module on top of a 3m tank with a single M50 under it at 2/3 throttle. fuel runs out at 36km, and it coasts well over 100km

a three-way in-a-row coupler,
where did you get that linear 3 way coupler? I wants it!
Ignore that, I found ETPs design.
-
That's the same one.

Note to self- don't mix 1 E-1000 in the center slot of the 5x1m plate with 4 normal LFRs, or you exceed it's strength limit.
NTS2- 5 of the 600s can't be run at over 1/3 power, but the fuel will last forever if you do.
Jeez- 4 E800s under 2 3m tanks went to 10.1km/s @ 2.75m km. Thrust was limited to 1/3 power due to structure strength
ETA 4- I put 3 of the E1000 motors under a single stock fuel tank and command capsule and the poor buggers are over 300km up and still burning., burnout was at 342km and 1900m/s

Can you make the 1m->3m coupler actually hold fuel?

The KSP game reminded me of the anime Royal Space Force: Wings of Honneamise, which is the story of a nation's first steps into space. It's sort of a combination of The Right Stuff and Jules Verne.
It's quite well done and the launch sequence at the end of the movie is pretty intense beacuse a rival nation invades to destroy the launch site.

Now If I could use more then 2/3 throttle on the dang stock LFRs.

I have a near circular orbit established now, 697.320km @ 1649.7m/s; T+38:00
It's ticking up 1m alt every 7 seconds. I've tried a couple times to zero out the vertical, but I can't get a fine enough thruster control.
I take it back, I just hit apogee @ 321 it's sitting on 320 for the last 2 minutes still at 320 @ T+40:00

Any suggestion for not overheating 5 F1s (the big 1m rockets) under the 5x1 plate ad fuel tank? I can't run them at over 66% w/o blowing the motors up.
Thanks, love the parts.
ETA- I have a decent realistic design running with 6 medium SRBs on radial arms; 5 F1s + 5x1 plate + 2x 3m tanks, 3mx1m cone; F1+2tanks; J2+2 tanks; command. With couplers and SAS sprinkled as needed.

Nothing major:

Hello and thank you for sharing your parts.
I've been messing around with the 3m fuel tank and wondered if you could build a (3x1m) to 3m adapter so one can have a cluster of 3 motors above the 3m tank.
Also I wonder if you could build a 1m->3x1m adapter, but have the 3 be in a row instead of triangular.
So you can build something like the three on the right with LFRs.

I just got it up. Just passing 200km altitude and 2063 m/s. Still have a ton of vertical speed and 1/2 of SPs double sized tank.
ring of 8 medium SRBs, 5 LFRs, 2 3m tanks, cone, LFR, 2 double tanks, sat, cap
Actually I didn't give the capsule any recovery methods since I'm running it as an unmanned satellite mission.
As I was typing it just passed 300km at 1980m/s, still going up fast though.
ETA- alright I did a -Z burn to stop the ascent and it's stable at 413.5k, 1866.4m/s
