  1. Life happens Cilph, you've been excellent and will remain excellent.
  2. Ooh, some shiny demon made this mod. Fantastic work BahamutoD
  3. Dang, that looks fantastic slilppy (lol, thought it was sumghai at first, I'm not very observant)! Keep up the great work, can't wait to get these parts up. This was all that was holding me back recently. These are great on the heels of the larger orbiter helldiver is workin' on.
  4. I haven't updated this in quite a while, so everything is presented as-is and without any guarantees. Check out Sumghai's continuation/expansion which I believe works just fine. (though many of my parts proabably still work as dumb parts)
  5. The best part about this method is your ship will more quickly rotate so the docking ports are flush if the ship is tilted off-axis at all. I'll watch people make videos where they dock and you can watch the ship fighting against the player, resisting docking, because the player still has SAS locked on an off-axis orientation. The magnets can do all the work for you if you just let go.
  6. Wow this is gorgeous, well done K3|Chris
  7. Lookin awesome! Can't wait to get home and fire this up. Time for 40 or so shuttle missions!
  8. Looking super sexy! I'm unnaturally excited for this release. Especially since I'll have a spankin' new rig to play it on in its full glory. WOO! How does it land with that sucker in the bay? I've found I can wrestle the KSO down with full fuel with very little issues now that I've flown a good 40-50 missions up to my station. I've only missed the runway twice! I'm playing the KSO so much I'm getting kinda bad at building rockets though . . . that's a bit scary.
  9. Ok, so I was recently alerted that SpacePort download totals are nonsense. If anyone was unconvinced, check out this album. Some counts go up and some counts go down. This is pretty funny, I'd love to know what causes this. Probably just some unforseen sql query goofiness.
  10. I hear ya. I really do because I've put time into making parts (not as much as you of course, but I think I can understand the struggle and effort that goes into this). But some of us simply cannot afford nice hardware. I'm still running an AGP video card. A freaking Geforce 8600 GS and a Core Duo (no 64 bit for me . . . that's Core2 Duo) and 3.5 gigabytes of ram. Us poor folks want to play too. And even us poor folks appreciate your work, even if we've only loaded up the full-res textures one time.
  11. Keep it up man, do you style. This is your thing and it's coming along beautifully. Plus, if people REALLY want this stuff, we'll make it ourselves. Just like you did with this pack. EDIT: Oh yeah, and Squad, Hire this man! He's thinking big and like a game dev about game concepts that will let KSP flourish.
  12. He's just saying he's not going to waste his time supporting such things. SUPPORT is the key word here. If he's not supporting your use and your use leads to issues, then don't bother coming here and asking for support. He's not saying it's "illegal", just that he's not going to help each of the 1 billion permutations people could make with his parts. It's a very reasonable thing to do, limiting the scope of your support. It's also incredibly gracious that he offers any 100% FREE support for his 100% FREE parts pack that is definitely of professional caliber.
  13. Hey swamp, your latest commits are on the master branch. Should I fart around with that one if I want to try some things out?
  14. Gorgeous lookin' parts. Going to have to try out EL now . . .
  15. Really crankin out the mods! Another cool concept codepoet!
  16. It's taken some practice but the KSO has become my most consistent return vehicle, nailing the runway every time now. Now, I have FAR installed so I can glide for far too long, but I like to fly it in like a brick and I bet it behaves similarly without FAR when flown this way. You'll still have to experiment with how far of a lead ahead (if any) of the KSC you give your re-entry profile but I tend to overshoot just a bit. My secret to success is the ridiculously powerful airbrake that is included. That thing is as effective as a parachute partially deployed and does wonders for slowing you down. Spamming that thing lets me come down at very steep re-entry profiles and still hit the runway (or make emergency landings before electric charge runs out for example). The key for me is to come in slightly unrealistically steep, spam the airbrake and then manage landing and slowing down as best I can. I've also added a RealChutes drag chute to the bottom center engine mount that's still open on most KSO arrangements I deploy that only once I've got all my wheels down.
  17. Very cool! Going to have to play with this tonight on some hatches. See if I can get a kerbal to see his reflection!
  18. But the linux version is the only 64bit version. It definitely allows you to push the ram usage envelope more than on a 32bit system.
  19. Nicely done! I love the look of the textures, very stockalike and pleasing. I would like to point out it's "Scalding Hot" as opposed to "scolding".
  20. Yep, this would aid greatly in all sorts of things Nothke. Very interested.
