1. It is called "JS Ishimura V-H". One of my friends started to build battleships and I eventually started to copy aspects of his design and improve it. I don't know exactly what ÃŽâ€V this beast has but it should be enough to visit at least Jool and come back savely.
2. I have suggestion for a further challange: If you like the idea, I can create a scenario: Build a rover with a plane on top. With the rover, drive as near as possible to the south pole. Then: Launch your plane from the rover. This can either happen with the rover givng the initial speed to make the plane lift off, or you can build a VTOL. Fly to a specific point at the south pole and return to KSC. I may add some constraints such as maximal fuel or maximal parts for the plane. Cheers
3. For large interplanetary vessles, you should try in-orbit assembly. With the new big docking ports you just have to build a propulsion+command module with a sufficient ammount of fuel and dock a standard lander to it. Don't forget to use the atomic rocket engines for they have a very high specific impuls. If you are nit familiar with how docking works, check out some docking tutorials on youtube. Cheers
4. Wow, you must be a waaay better pilot than I am. I barley made it to Eve and getting back from there proved to be impossible for me.
5. Now there are 4 Landers on the moon. Only one of them has been moved closer after landing, the other ones landed where they can be seen on the picutre
6. Oh wow, this thing is huge! Are there no issues with the length of the first couple of stages? It looks kind of wobbly
7. The trick here is to build your ship in the fassion that the external boosters just miss the yellow thingy that extends from the launch pad.
8. Hi there, I would like to present my new, upgraded version of the Tatarus II ICOL: the Tartarus III, now with correct spelling and the ability to land on (most) celestial bodies in the system. It is outfitted with four landing parachutes for the descent to other planets than Kerbin and with luxury bonuses like RCS and AdvSAS. because its predecessor was designed to take pictures from inside the cockpit once in orbit around another planet, this version also comes with a cockpit with high visibility. It is designed for one man landings only and (in the hands of the right pilot) may be able to land on several celestial bodies with only one launch! Have some pictures: For pictures in orbit around Duna, see the thread about the old version Note: Please read the launch instructions before you actually launch Test by HOC:
9. I guess that I want to build landers right so my Kerbonauts can return to their home and that I'm a little bit scared that if I make it a lander I screw things up and they never get home again. Feel free to modify the design by yourself. Maybe I'll redesign the craft today.
10. I proudly present the first interplanetary single-crewed planet obeservatory. Due to its unique glass cockpit, the Kerbonaut never will miss interesting features on the planets surface. It is guaranteed* that this craft will bring your Kerbonaut to the inner planets of our solar system and maybe even to Jool. Keep in mind that this vehicle is not build to land on any celestial bodies than Kerbin (though our PM Agent thought it would look cool if we would show you a picture of how you are not intended to use our product) The ship has enough power though to upgrade it into a lander. The only reason I did not return to Kerbin and went for a landing was that I screwed up my orbtial maneuvers to get to Duna in the first place. *WARNING: this guarantee only holds if you are a skilled pilot Tell me what you think about this beast in the comments and feel free to modiefy the craft and make it into a lander or something. Just make sure to post your results in this thread
