  1. So, we just finished some important chapters in astronomy. After 8 months of not playing KSP, I got the urge to complete a mission just with math (no mission planner tool), just to see if I can. I wondered how accurate orbital mechanics are in KSP. Can I apply all the usual laws (Kepler, two bodies etc)? I remember reading something back in the days that Kerbin's year is too short for it's path, and some other stuff. So... can I head right into KSP with all the math from school or do I have to take some "special" physics into account? If there is a thread about this already, please link it to me! Thanks.

  4. A tie between Rocket Science and Quantum Mechanics. This is KSP though, so I voted Rocket Science.
  5. Needs more wings and at least 2 more intakes
  6. The poll is missing the option "barely" - would be me
  7. No one cares 'bout the star-ratings.
  8. Congratulations and good luck Tips for your lander: It obviously lacks fuel and while I don't remember the Isps right now, I think the radial engines are rather inefficient. Did you take a look at the 909?
  9. You should know by now that Kerbals survive everything (except for 'splosions).
  10. I work for a german gamesportal named spieletipps an should write tips & tricks to a horrible 4X-game called Legends of Pegasus last summer. The game sucked and wasn't even finished; I wanted to play some 4X, though, and started a thread in the forums, asking about alternatives. Months after the game had died and the original thread had been deleted someone posted KSP in the second one. I downloaded the demo and soon after that bought the game.
  11. For some irrational reason I love the 909. I think it's cute.
  12. Eerrr... what? They're all LV-Ns, right? It shouldn't matter...?
  13. Let's hope the next update brings jetpacks and fixes this global-warming-bug.
  14. When fuel drains asymmetrically and you have no idea why.
  15. Hm. Where do you encounter this area/situations usually?
  16. When your rocket starts lagging. In the VAB. edit: Forget it. When the frickin music starts stuttering, that's where the trouble begins.
  17. Really, what is it good for? Why not take a Mainsail? Not considerating Career-mode.
  18. So this is the reason. But it would be so practical Ok, with this piece of information I can redesign it. Thank you everyone! edit: How can I change the Prefix to "Answered"? edit2: Heres MkIII. It's hell of an interplanetary stage! It's not as mighty as it looks like, though; it's a bit close with the Delta-v (it has reserve tanks, though). I went for a high TWR, because I did not want to overshoot my launch window again
