Well, a couple of years ago. If you have the lastest drivers which are impossible to revert, the game will go to 2 FPS anytime you open a menu.

Granted, and it's burning. I wish I could interact with a single neutrino.

What irks me is that x3 has NO SUPPORT for the last AMD driver generations, so the game is completely unplayable for anyone with AMD graphics.

Good thing I have a recorder rigged to record Star Trek every time it comes on. So many episodes, so little time. The show "Dark Matter" is also cool. I pretty much only watch the german channels 3sat and Arte and sy-fy.

X-plane is a exceptional flight simulator, but only get if it you can handle a steep learning curve (if you don't want to fly gliders and ultralights forever), have a beefy computer and a decent joystick. Almost all of the negative reviews are just FSX fanboys whining about tiny things and not being able to learn.

Well, that seems reasonable, but only if the expansion content is going to be of much higher quality and complexity than the base game. It's very likely that frontier is low on money due to the wobbly release of the game and the absence of a huge shirking hypewave.

Which is unfortunate, since the whole "geek" thing is just a fad right now. Most people who watch mainstream sci-if probably aren't even interested in spaceflight and have no idea of orbital mechanics.
