  1. I can't get this to work at all. No matter what, whenever I retract the winch and dock, the thing just spins out of control. I don't have SAS turned on, or even on these ships. The entire station and orbiter all start spinning as if they weigh half a ton
  2. Brought up a part with KAS in mind. Going to bring a miniature tug up next that uses it
  3. It automatically keeps you updated, you can turn automatic updates off and wait a day to see what everyone thinks of the newest version, then just say Update when you want and off it goes. You don't need Steam running to play it. You can move the entire game folder as a backup, and it'll still run It's no different than not having it on Steam, really, other than it's slightly more convenient when you want to update
  4. 3.0? Foaming at the mouth now. Everyone knows how much I love the B9 parts. It's how I put everything in space now
  5. You have Fanboy in your name. Not that that is an issue as everyone should be a NASA Fanboy or Girl, no exceptions.
  6. I went and made a minimalist style flag for each Planet/System. Each of these is scaled up in proportion to 256x160. They're in order as they appear from Kerbol Moho Eve Kerbin Duna Dres Jool Eeloo Kerbol System Unwrinkled versions: http://i.imgur.com/5ZxymTc.png http://i.imgur.com/PMp31an.png http://i.imgur.com/E7cBoPY.png http://i.imgur.com/3O1rjWh.png http://i.imgur.com/Bk5i6j8.png http://i.imgur.com/KvokLpE.png http://i.imgur.com/f2u7CSi.png Feel free to use them for your Mishies, they can be saved and used as is.
  7. Steal away! Though if you look closely, when I resized it down, it sort of warped the circle, so allow me to give a fix
  8. Right now, in just the Vanilla game, there's only to explore the planets. There isn't much on them and you'll be hard pressed to find the easter eggs. The fun in Kerbal comes from constructing something that works, or building something in Orbit, or building something on another celestial body you had to get there. With the Resource system eventually coming, there will be more use for building stuff in places, and with Mods there's already more uses similar to this
  9. I used to do long flights in Flight Simulator 98, 2002 and 2004, generally no more than 3000NM, but I've done Aussie to Cali and the likes before, and real time at that. The majority of it was playing around on the internet and doing other stuff while it did it in the background, and then came back whenever I needed to. Doing them online was better as you had people to talk to and they were doing their own flights. Other programs that worked with the game and websites let you log your hours, earn ranks and ribbons, and even displayed your flight data in real time to anyone who wanted to view it. But Some missions in Kerbal are easily a year's worth of days. I would not want to do that in real time. Though there's nothing stopping you from doing a year's worth of in-game days of other projects while it's on its flight, but to never use time warp? Good Luck
  10. zzz You always have the coolest screenshots Does your game have that much saturation by default? Bringing up a Hab Module for a new station, STS-22, the 22nd flight into space for the Saborian Shuttle Program
  11. Ever thought about some parts based off the Tac Fighter from Starship Troopers?
  12. Rollout is pretty cool, I usually do the same thing but the Kerbals insist on calling it Roll In, instead
  13. The only way to do it is with Mechjeb while in control of or near the station. Or by hand
  14. It could work, but with decreased functionality. I play KSP with an Xbox controller, but I still use the mouse and keyboard for building and other small things The controller sure makes for much easier flying I wish I could use the triggers as axis' for Yaw, but I can't. Other than that it works great for flight. The D-Pad is bound for Forward left right and Back translation/Rover controls, too. It works so well for flight in KSP it's like the controller was made for the game, or vise versa Y for SAS X for Staging A for Throttle up B for Down LB and RB for Yaw Left stick for Pitch and Banking Right Stick for camera controls D Pad for RCS and Rovers, still need the keyboard for translating Up and Down, but I could put those on the Triggers if I wanted Click the left stick for Time Warp decrease, right stick for increase Select for map, Start for pause
  15. I've got mixed performance issues. Nothing is better, only worse, but after a certain distance away from a planet, mostly Kerbin, the famerate jumps back up to 80+. But on the surface of Kerbin and gliding into KSC, it's an optimistic 20
  16. I've had a few issues, but it's early development, and it's been good enough to put hundreds of hours into since the first public release. Can't really complain
  17. Bringing up a Station Core, since I started a new save for 0.20. STS-20, the 20th successful flight of the Saborian Shuttle Lots of 20's
  18. All's well. I opened up each Cfg file, pasted Scale = 1 below rescale value with Ctrl+V, then hit Ctrl+S to save, closed, did the next one, took 1 minute to do them all lickity split. I can't live without certain parts packs and this has become one of them
  19. Hmm I'll try the scale = 1 thing, cheers Just an edit here. Adding "Scale = 1" below the rescalefactor solves this issue. Thanks Hoojiwana
  20. All the attachment nodes are off for these parts in 0.20. Is there a quick fix we can do ourselves to remedy this in the cfg files?
  21. Mine. The Kerbal Logo rocket pasted on Kerbin, other two circles are Mun and Minmus
  22. I've had performance issues with the last two updates until I installed it fresh, and then re-installed my mods, and from that point on all was smooth and good
  23. First flight of 0.20. Deployed the lander from Kerbin using the same Orbiter I've been using. This was the 18th successful flight in it
