  1. That has never happened to me before. Just learn to click what you want to click, lol.
  2. Thought that section was only for specific challenges but okay. The Destroyer, add me on steam? You should be able to find me by searching for "xox_1337"
  3. Most people on my friendlist don't play KSP much. I'd love to have someone I can do challenges with, for example: Who can get a rover to Duna first, who can get a satelitte around moon X at planet Y first, etc. . Possibly even small money bets ( a buck or something ). Would anyone be up for this? Disclaimer: I'm not interested in doing this Stock-Only because I like mods, they make the game more fun, they could possible make the challenges more interesting as well.
  4. Plot an intercept, on your closest approach match velocities. Repeat until you are close enough and then EVA your kerbalnaut and use the jetpack to fly to the other ship. If you have space in a command module he can simply enter it.
  5. I have no idea if it was part of the schematic but invisible or stuck at the launchpad. I don't know if I got rid of it by launching ( and crashing it ) or if it was gone because I loaded an older save, but it's gone now.
  6. After probably 20 times of my rocket going to the launchpad and exploding for no reason and me being confused as frak I finally spotted this How can I get rid of it? ( Yes I am clearing the launchpad when I go to launch and no the rocket doesn't show up in the VAB )
  7. Trying to vertically strut never works for me, that's why I used the cubic struts.
  8. I am having annoying troubles with my rockets wobbling too much when they really shouldn't wobble, it just seems like the connections between some stacked parts are way too elastic. At the moment I am using something like this to stop it but while it does look pretty in it's own way it doesn't look as pretty as a clean rocket and I'm sure there must be a better way of doing this. Help?
  9. maybe you could include higher res skyboxes?
  10. I don't know why but until a few days ago I never really knew much about the curiosity rover. As I looked up some stuff I saw the amazing Sky Crane system. So I decided to try and do it in KSP. I am sure someone else has done it before but I thought I'd share my experience. I started by building a sky crane, a rover underneath and decided to test it at the space center ( flying up, letting it drop and landing ). To lower the rover I used KAS. Next step was to build a rocket underneath. First the interplanetary stage using a nuclear engine and then a rather large lifter stage to get it into LKO. This is the end product: So from there I went to LKO: Then a transfer to Duna: Here we are: Now to land: Lower the lander: And crash the crane at a safe distance: Now to do some epic rover science Anyways, that was my mission to Duna. First time I actually landed on another planet and I think I did quite well. If you have questions or suggestions, go ahead. P.S. It took me about 20 second to pull a Howard Wolowitz and crash the rover:
  11. So I got my rocket into LKO ( 100km ) and now need to transfer to Duna but my transfer window is 50 days away and I can't warp there because I'm too low in orbit. What do I do? I have nothing else in orbit and even then I would be too afraid to miss the window. Anything I can do?
  12. I got my Duna Rover + Skycrane into LKO
  13. I agree. Personally, I use mechjeb because the actual flying is not what interests me. What interests me in the game is coming up with a mission, designing it, building it and then getting there, but the actual flying ( controlling the ship ) doesn't really interest me so why should anyone judge me for not doing it myself? Also, I tried (and completed) all the maneuvers manually first before I used mechjeb. As for the mission, I was really impressed and I loved the music, it fit perfectly. I hope that one day I can accomplish something similar. I disagree with anyone saying that it's less impressive because it uses mods. If parts are simply not in the game, how is he supposed to do it with stock parts? Mods add possibilities and the good ones are balanced so they don't give an advantage, just more options.
