  1. I think most of you are way too far ahead of like, the rest of the human race. Launch costs have to drop dramatically for these ideas to even make it into the economy's peripherals. The Earth is incredibly rich in its own minerals and resources, and despite humanity's worst efforts, is still abounding with them in places much more quickly & cheaply accessed.
  2. You couldn't lose a flaperon unless you were on a cuckoo maneuver that would have been near impossible to recover from if you were losing wing parts left and right. In Helios 522 and Air France 447 there was nothing similar to the suspicious avoidance of air traffic control and radar.
  3. Even if they had swapped out the flap from another 777 they don't randomly end up on the coast of a tropical island. It has been very obvious to those in the airline community and investigation that the crash was led by one of the pilots, since the flight specifically flew around the island of Sumatra (which could only be to avoid radar). If there was a problem with the plane that required a diversion, no experienced pilot would have flown the plane hundreds of miles south, and the problem would be very unlikely to have begun exactly as it was in "radio limbo" switching between control centers. If MH370 ran out of oxygen (which could explain flying the plane uncontrolled past Australia) , then why did it happen exactly when it was switching between control centers, and if the pilots were able to control the plane enough to turn around and *coincidentally* fly around Indonesian military radar, then they also had the ability to descend to a safe altitude.
  4. I've added them as bombs to spice up planes I'm too lazy to fly places
  5. It is really interesting to see that you, who have been complaining about aerodynamics across multiple threads, did not use FAR in 0.9, which leads me to suspect you just want your special planes to work.
  6. It was inclined so it didn't cross the Mun's orbit. It was very close to past the SOI but I had watched it orbit.
  7. I know this is outdated, but in my 0.9 career save an asteroid either spawned or was captured by Kerbin. I found it in a highly inclined and elliptical orbit and named it Moon 3, Does this ever happen?
  8. Well, its not gonna happen so you might as well enjoy the 80% of things that did go right with 1.0
  9. SmartA.S.S. is broken, I have to constantly hit 'execute' to remind it what it's supposed to be doing. Because I think SmartA.S.S. is linked to most of MechJeb's automated functions, most of it is not working.
  10. Hi, this has been a problem for me since I first got the game, but whenever my planes fly at medium speeds there are always gray-ish wind flying everywhere around my plane like a sonic boom, and its quite annoying, it's also lagging my game. At high speeds it looks like the plane is on fire when I'm only around Mach 2. I suspect the Concorde did not look like this. Is there a way to turn it off?
  11. I don't see why at this stage Harvester and the rest of the KSP team can't just relax and go vacation on a beach somewhere. They're not in any obligation to produce any more versions (I suppose bugfixing and optimizing is something they would do for free, unlike EA) but I fear the unshielded rage that will come out of this community when they dare to start producing DLCs & EPs. 1.1 might not even be a thing, but some Advanced Power Production DLC or Space Race Expansion Pack.
  12. Would it be possible to observe a transit of Eve in ksp? Of course I can understand that due to game limitations it won't be quite obvious, but if one blocked the edge of kerbol through the edge of screen, I would think one could see a dot. If so it would happen more often than venus because of a lesser inclination, and I would like to observe it
  13. This was an idea some guy thought up late at night and didn't consider well. There are 8 years until their planned launch date, yet there is no equipment, not even 1 million dollars. It is just not going to happen. Maybe they will launch in 30 years, but by then I hope they will be old news as they would be on the same timeframe as NASA. I can see this causing a big scandal if it blows up (not literally).
  14. Looks good. I was hoping you would add some more nasa-like contracts and a planet but that's not my decision. Glad nodes are being reworked
  15. I don't know if there's a way to stop it at this point. Very disappointed in the planet for coming this far with no progress. I mean, unless we cut down our carbon emissions to 1/1000 of current levels, global warming will still happen, albeit slower. And with deforestation there is no way in hell we could even stop or reduce global warming. There is literally no progress being made. I'm just hoping I can finish my life before earth is completely ruined
