Ok, I'll give it a try and report back, last time I had issues with no matter what action key ( yes I looked at the key bindings first ) I pressed it wouldn't do jack squat, and I could use this to retrieve splashed down space craft with the Airships mod or with a vtol type craft or something!

I downloaded this back when it was for .19 and I must say it didn't work for me at all. I had no propulsion none of the features worked, has it been improved or can anyone verify that it is working considerably well?

My game with all the mods takes just over 8 minutes!

Well I did not realize that... But for the temptature my procedure was to land on a planet and take off trying to sustain 100m/s which as you can tell did not go all that well for consistency For the gravity... Yes, sorry for that I had copied all the data down into a log book and when I entered it here I did mistankenly look at Eve's gravity for 10km and 20km recordings of Kerbin! And lastly, according to the poll you guys want moon data... Well I will go and record that this weekend with the same craft and try to maintain a little closer to 100m/s. Also the planets will be finished I'll try to get the data up Monday sometime!

Ever wondered what the temperature of Eeloo is at 20km above the surface? Maybe The density of Duna's atmosphere? Well your in luck, I have went around to each planet and conducted 3 experiments at different altitudes and below is what I concluded Weight of probe = 19 tons Average horizontal speed = 98 m/s Moho 50km---temp = -199 --- speed = 115 --- gravity = 1.90 40km---temp = -199 --- speed = 130 --- gravity = 2.02 30km---temp = -199 --- speed = 92 --- gravity = 2.19 20km---temp = -64 --- speed = 89 --- gravity = 2.35 10km---temp = 0 --- speed = 91 --- gravity = 2.52 Eve 50km---temp = 14 --- atmosphere = 0.00049 --- speed = 95 --- gravity = 14.63 40km---temp = 23 --- atmosphere = 0.021 --- speed = 104 --- gravity = 15 30km---temp = 16 --- atmosphere = 0.081 --- speed = 115 --- gravity = 15.45 20km---temp = 37 --- atmoshpere = 0.29 --- speed = 81 --- gravity = 15.79 10km---temp = 100 --- atmosphere = 1.43 --- speed = 70 --- gravity = 16.29 Kerbin 50km---temp = -41 --- atmosphere = N/A --- speed = 174 --- gravity = 8.41 40km---temp = 1 --- atmosphere = 0.0004 --- speed = 120 --- gravity = 8.63 30km---temp = -6 --- atmosphere = 0.0012 --- speed = 89 --- gravity = 8.75 20km---temp = -41 --- atmosphere = 0.29 --- speed = 115 --- gravity = 9.23 10km---temp = 100 --- atmosphere = 1.43 --- speed =70 --- gravity = 9.25 Duna 50km---temp = -43 --- atmosphere = N/A --- speed = 116 --- gravity = 2.23 40km---temp = -40 --- atmosphere = N/A --- speed = 102 --- gravity = 2.34 30km---temp = -42 --- atmosphere = N/A --- speed = 140 --- gravity = 2.50 20km---temp = -40 --- atmosphere = 0.00032 --- speed = 130 --- gravity = 2.65 10km---temp = -34 --- atmosphere = 0.010 --- speed = 86 --- gravity = 2.80 Dres 50km---temp = -200 --- speed =127 --- gravity = 0.60 40km---temp = -199 ---speed = 130 --- gravity = 0.70 30km---temp = -199 --- speed = 112 --- gravity = 0.76 20km---temp = -199 --- speed = 105 --- gravity = 0.84 10km---temp = 0 --- speed = 84 --- gravity = 0.98 Jool 50km---temp= 0 --- atmosphere = 0.10 --- speed = 1788 --- Gravity = 7.72 40km---temp = 185 --- atmosphere = 0.27 --- speed = 1379 --- Gravity = 7.74 30km---temp = 369 --- atmosphere = 0.74 --- speed = 2221 --- gravity = 7.77 20km---temp = 324 --- atmosphere = 2.08 --- speed = 309 --- gravity = 7.80 10km---temp = 548 ---atmosphere = 5.78 --- speed = 35 --- gravity = 7.82 Eeloo 50km---temp = -43 --- speed = 130 --- gravity = 1.10 40km---temp = -40 --- speed = 120 --- gravity = 1.23 30km---temp = -37 --- speed = 129 --- gravity = 1.31 20km---temp = -35 --- speed = 120 --- gravity = 1.42 10km---temp = -30 --- speed = 44 --- gravity = 1.53 Please note, the speed changed because I was trying to maintain 100m/s and sometimes overpowered or underpowered the engines. Also, the Moons will be added in next couple of days Jool, 10km ship blew up ( due to using hyper edit ) luckily the scientific module of the craft remained in tact long enough to record data!

It is a great idea in my opinion but... There is a problem, you need a conventional launch system from Kerbin to be able to use it. What I mean is, RCS will not have enough TWR to lift it off Kerbin but once in orbit it will work, might need to be refueled after a while though!
-
I had a same sort of thing happen but not exact. I was using hyper edit to get a lander within Duna's orbit, I didn't want to use the landing engines to do a de-orbit burn so I used hyper edits velocity option to lower my velocity 100m/s. I go to the map to check my peri and the planets gone... All the planets, I go back to staging view and see it so I resumed decent. Once I touched down craft blew up planet exploded into this sun looking thing and soon after game crashed haha. It was an experience to say the least!

Anyone else have "unrealiable" rocket designs
7499275 replied to OUScooby's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
As for the craft breaking apart as it goes up ( or on the launch pad sometimes ) I would never put struts before .20 because 4 struts and my pc would lag like crazy but now that performance is better adding struts usually works for me... If not, I just go back and redesign the entire rocket! Best of luck to you though! -
Hello fellow Kerbonauts/Cerbonauts (Astronaut/Cosmonaut ) Anyway, I'm new to the forum and have been browsing the forums for quiet a while and seems like a very nice helpful simple kind of forum! I'd love to be a part of the community here and help out if I can! Best Regards 7499275
