  1. Oh wow, I feel incredibly stupid. Turns out I was still running KSP 1.0.2 and the launcher didn't tell me that there was an update... So yeah, reinstalling KSP fixed it. I thought the engine effects were just a mod that everyone was using...
  2. I've already done that, as can be seen in a recording I've made of the issue: Edit: Fixed.
  3. Really? According to the description of the AIM-9 it says that it's heat seeking, not radar guided. Regardless, even trying it with a radome (in boresight) didn't allow it to lock on. I've tried using them in a different save file, but that also didn't fix anything. Maybe reinstall KSP? Edit: Fixed
  4. I've tried reinstalling BD Armory but it didn't seem to work. Could it have to do with them being slightly obstructed? They are sandwiched up against an AIM-120, as you can see in the video: Edit: Fixed
  5. I've been trying to lock on with them everywhere from less that 500 m to 2500 km.
  6. This may be a stupid question, but do the Aim-9 missiles require any additional hardware other than a weapon manager to work? Because they are refusing to lock onto any aircraft, even after holding the target in the HUD for several seconds at a time. It probably isn't a problem of the target not putting off enough heat either because the aircraft I'm trying to take down has 4 turbojets at full throttle.
  7. Apparently splashing down in a body of water on a planet isn't actually considered being on the surface, as I just found out the hard way. This may be an issue specific to Eve, and I'm 80% sure it's not a bug, but it's something that should be changed either way.
  8. Unless I'm just an idiot, I'm pretty sure this contract should be satisfied.
  9. If I recall, the actual direction of the control surfaces does not matter because the animation is completely aesthetic. This is probably going to change in the next update with improved aerodynamics, but right now with the primitive aerodynamics the direction does not matter, they just produce small amounts of thrust in whatever direction that corresponds to your input.
  10. I was thinking after horribly crashing a spaceplane due to unbalanced fuel draining, that small counterweights could be implemented as radial tanks that hold a dense fluid. And the amount in each tank could be manipulated through tweakables. In flight, you could also set up and action group or just begin manually pumping the fluid between the tanks (increasing/decreasing their mass) to deal with unbalanced fuel draining.
  11. Until the aerodynamics model is updated to be more realistic, I think it would be a good idea to have another option to display the center of force applied by drag at certain velocities along with the center of mass, lift, and thrust. This way it should be easier to judge if your rocket is going to instantly flip out due to, say, a large amount of very small parts on top of a tall lifter.
  12. So when you say "lack of planned features" you mean only the features listed on the planned list, right? The devs so far have not released a complete roadmap of all the things that will be implemented throughout the updates, and the planned features list is only a small amount of what will actually be in the game.
  13. Me: "Okay, I'm thinking of starting another mission to Jool." Bob: "For the eleventh time, stop trying to make a Jool landing happen. It's not going to happen."
  14. ...When you occasionally consider quicksaving before you do something important.
  15. 8/10 Cool image, and points out the true origin of Dres.
