A mohole is more than just a hole on Moho, the name comes from Project Mohole which was a plan to drill a hole through the Earths crust into the mantle though every time I see the word mohole it makes me want to play Red Faction Guerrilla

Coordinates 57*39'34"/9*05'00" and Somerled you were right the monolith is below the crater

I reloaded and took a couple screenshots, I was wrong about the depth it is about 2.5km deep

I was trying to land on the Mun at coordinates for a monolith, while on approach the mechjeb landing guidance was showing extreme changes in distance from target and as my altitude decreased I could see why, my landing zone was in the middle of a thousand meter deep crater with near vertical walls. Oh and the monolith is nowhere to be found I'm not sure if this mohole is supposed to be here or if it is some sort of glitch

Thanks for the replies, yeah I realized what I was thinking was impossible after trying some orbits. What about if I orbited the Sun instead of Kerbin and stayed just outside of Kerbins soi

I'm trying to put a spacecraft in orbit around Kerbin but always between Kerbin and the Sun, what altitude would achieve this?
