  1. Wolfedg, that's the as...kerbonaut complex, not science facility. To be honest, i really would like to see the road map of the game and what kind of things are in the planning board, so to speak. One thing that annoys me is that we are been treated as final customers that have bought 'ready' game (not that there are of those in the industry...) and are given polished patches. They say in the announcements part that 0.22 is ready and on the playtesters....what, and we are?? Oh yes, FINAL customers...that bought the game in VERY early ALPHA state, although the engine works (to the 32bit limit anyway) and sandbox is quite fun. Thankfully, modders have greatly increased the value of them game, even over to what Squad is doing, which is kinda sad, but part of the life, after all.
  2. That kind of payload could use some fairings as well. You could also flip the payload, the plasma thruster will have a bad thrust anyway, until you plan to upgrade it on launchpad? The normal things, like turning the craft 45 degrees in vab (one tap at Q when whole ship is selected) so ship 'points' to east upon launch and also, before launch one remembers to right click on the computer core (assuming its the ships command section) and there 'Control from here', it overrides MechJeb. Good luck on that.
  3. Lovely looking tug there Ashtoruin, what parts are those spherical tanks? And for the mod, i don't really understand the need of the MegaJoules as there's the electricCharge as well, i honestly i think they are the same thing, although i think that electricCharge is counted maybe in amps? Are you chosen to use that zzz's latest engine? It would look nice, if it could be scaled for both, 1.25 and 2.5 m scales, and i think it would look good also as thermal rocket nozzle, maybe with different skin, blueish for the i...plasma engine and maybe reddish for the thermal rocket? I have to admit, that i had an idea for a in-(solar)system 'warp' drive that i like to call capsuledrive that would work similar method than the Alcu-drive
  4. Yes, that is the main 'problem' here, at least that's how I see it. To be quite frank here, i love the game as well and play it WAay too much, but i like to see how my designs works...or explodes (mostly explodes, though). Like i wrote earlier, we paid to get in to beta test, but there's nothing much to test, so most people just plays with mods, like i do. Some of the mods i would like to see in stock, like B9's beautiful parts, they could easily replace Squads rather...poor parts, and more importantly, brings more options, as stock Mk2 only have liquid fuel in them, hard to built spaceplane without oxidizer. KW rockets and...well, you understand, probably... 8) Maybe the development would look prettier if they would change the next patch number as 0.3, it would LOOK nice, and the content is probably very good, as per those screenshots and Harvesters blog. IF i could hope something from Squad, that would be a little more communication towards the community, of which is gonna be hard as they shelved of their media people.
  5. I am interested of how the ElectricCharge production is calculated, ie. what generates it, generator? I noticed this, when i tried to operate a ion powered tug that had 8 10kN engines (from the triangular pack, orange flat tanks etc.) and one 2.5m reactor with proper generator and it couldn't keep up with power needs that seemed odd. I tested it with 4 1.25m reactors and they were able keep the ElectricCharge up, if i recall it correctly. I sometimes wonder how the fuel usage is been calculated, are they given per second at 100% thrust or? In the engine descriptions that is. Keep up the nice work mister Fractal_UK...
  6. Hmm, 6Gigs used by KSP...not sure that's possible as KSP is 32bit program, and has HARD limit of 3,25Gb of memory (2^32 bits, divide by 8 for bytes and then divided by 1024 2-3 times). I have had those kinds of crashes, they are ctd's. They are also easiest crashes, much harder are crashes that happens when changing from instances, for example VAB to launch bad. The 'sorry i crashed'-message stays behind the full screen client. Enter helps on that, though. The memory footprint is bit sad, but unavoidable situation...well, one COULD reduce the amount of mods...maybe...
