  1. Hi dude, I noticed the movements on the gauges are a little to harsh. ¿Would you mind to implement ease in-out into the gauges movements? It would make them perfect. http://gizma.com/easing/
  2. Everything looks so promising but I do still feel the pain in the lack of robotic science.
  3. Actually working on this (and more) --- Its has been almost a year since I developed this thing. Good news theres some quite interesting mod packages out there, so you can tweak systems at ease. Now that Kerbal is making progress to release candidate, I'm reviewing this concept and somewhat expanding it. Let's face it: In terms of scenario Ksp is subpar. Using the concepts here, I'll try to imagine the entire Kerbal System and his bodies as a series of places to go, each with his unique traits. More or less like the real Solar System. I think this qualifies for a very serious mod, but in the end, I hope some of it would be implemented. More to come.
  4. The best way to reach eelo I think is to grab a duna - jool - eelo window that happens at day 260.
  5. Porting this game to U5 can take an indeterminated amount of time sice I'm pretty confident the game is almost 90% developed with U4 hacks that are gone in U5 and require almost a total sourcecode refactoring. Let's say 95% sure.
  6. Although I think porting the game to U5 is for the better. The logical thing to do is release 1.0 THEN port. This way they could port while not in a rush and we the players are happier playing the latest version.
  7. I figured it by myself but the move was impressive nontheless. I would like to hear from devs if the change will improve the game overall
  8. But UE4 is now a free open source program. (some % when you exceed some selling figure) What I mean is Are we gonna see a game engine swich?. .
  9. If implemented, I don't know about the period when all the planets would align again (maybe never) but I believe it would be more than 10 years if it happens xD I only need the alignment once, really. And I think is significant you arise the tech tree lock, Voyagers managed to provide most of what we know (and saw thru photo) about the outward solar system even today. The best photos of Neptune you can see, are from Voyager 2 1989 fly-by. So, I think as long as you can provide a little more Dv than needed to reach Duna, you should be fine (probably) reaching Dres Jool and Eeloo. What I mean is, no matter how locked is your tech tree (unless is ridiculous small), a mission such this still would provide a ton of science points, even if you miss it halfway. And all those Gravs. should made it somewhat easier. If not, still a pretty decent challege to tackle xD Now that I mention it, yes, a grand tour should include all the planets, and that includes the inners, Eve and moho. (So you can do both directions)
  10. ofc i play RemoteTech xD, and a buch of other plugins, like realistic RTGs and stuff. And I do think probes needs a lot of overhaul so, they become important exploring tools for you, and you can save on "expedable" crew memebers. Anyway not the point. For you suggestion of planets starting randomly, but with a grand tour alignment available, one possible solution it would be: Let's say the Gran tour alignment is time 0. Then randomly start the game away from that point in time (1, 2, 3 years...). And add a contract to alert you when it gonna happen again as you get close to date (6 months in advance or so). I can tell you that would make me play career as hell.
  11. Hi guyz. As Kerbal is getting closer and closer to "complete" state. I think is time for me to raise this argument. I'm a probe fan, and I can tell you, if you didn't know already, is that probes needs a lot of gravity jukes to get anywhere, probably they are the most demaning missions on Kerbal regarding calculation and planing beforehand. Anyway, since the first day of me playing this game, I tried super-hard to found a "Gran Tour" of Kerbol to replicate the Voyager missions, with no success. And as people developed math programs to calculate gravity assist, It become clear that there's no such thing in Kerbal. No grand tour mission is possible. So, I went as far as moving the planets with Hyper Edit to build my own, but then the question arises ¿Why is not there? ¿Why a Grand Tour by default is not present?. Let's say you start anew and as time goes on then you can do it. IDK about career and other parts of the game because I only send probes on sandbox xD So idk if you can do a contract around this or whatever. But I think is a valid choice. It would be a great adition to the game I think, it would help people to acomplish a nice mission if they choose to do so (either manned or unmanned), and a great educational tool because you can teach kids what it is, and how awesome Voyager was, doing all that planet stuff with no fuel at all. So, my asking to developers, is to change the planetary starting points, so, as time progresses, this gran tour alignment happens. Cheers.
  12. Hello guys. Instead of another pityful attempt to recreate this ship ingame, where the thing destroy itself as soon as you touch the engines. I'm recreating a working endurance with stock parts, and the result is quite nice so far. Maybe u know by now that I love space probes, so instead of doing a full fledged endurance, I'm doing it in a reduced scale. After several trials I decided for a combination of ions + RCS. o10's in particular is a true problem solver. I know in the movie main engines are in the ring, and auxiliar ones are in the landers, but in this build, ions are in the ring, and more than a DOZEN of o10 are in the central section, wich is nice because the main weights and stuff are in the dead center, and the ring tends to wobble a lot if you push from the ring. 16 o2 RCs (6 each lander and 2 each ranger), is even more thrust of a RT10 Booster in vacuum, which is pretty ridiculous for a 15 dry-tons ship (5more t. on fuel). The total count will be around 300 pieces or something less. Alpha testing have show that this thing is so far totally capable of reach anything in the kerbal system and deploy stuff everywhere around. Landers and rangers can dock from the surface of at least any minor body. Oh, the ship isn't specially fast btw... Landers by now are nothing but a sketch, and a pretty much the rangers need a decent overhaul, but its coming quite nice. pd. sorry about the off-topic
  13. Solar sails are far from your vision as game is programmed, even solar sails need stored "fuel" in order to work. There was a mod that added them, but as I said it were mere a new fancy ion engine.
