  1. OK now for my serious entry, the V Sabre, named such because of its distinctive experimental "V" shaped wing design. I was able to get it up to 2,367 m/s,putting me in the top 5 speeds of the leaderboard Also I apologize ahead of time because during and after my little space trip during the flight, it became night time so pictures were not that good. Runway Taking off! Ascending into the heavens... Whoops...accidentally jumped into space Falling too low into the atmosphere and beginning to lose speed. Topped at 2,367 m/s. The rest of the flight was me pretty much wasting fuel trying to regain altitude. Flight log shot. I started slowing down again after I had fought really hard to stay at altitude, hence my complete lack of fuel.
  2. I pretty much did this just for the LOL's but actually got surprising results My K-71 Stealth Bomber had a highest speed over land of 2,135 m/s. I know this hardly competes with the other entries, but keep in mind this craft was built to deliver a payload and have a long range, not to fly extremely fast that's just a bonus. On the runway... Ascending to its pathetic service ceiling of 25,000 meters when compared to the other entries. Speeding up. The payload bay of the bomber. As you can tell, certainly not built for speed. Main cockpit view. Successful landing with fuel to spare.
  3. Hmm oddly I have never actually tried finding the maximum weight that the bombers can haul, but now I will find out soon. However, I do know that amoung these bombers, the "Tiger" stealth Bomber will be the fastest, have the highest service ceiling and the largest wingspan. The k-71 will still have the largest payload and largest over all size and the longest range. Unfortunatly the medium bomber does not really hold any records but it is also the least developed. This is a picture of (from left to right) the "Prisma" heavy bomber, the "Godsend" medium bomber, and the "Tiger" stealth bomber, respectively. Here is a closer picture of the upcoming stealth bomber, however be aware that several changes to the design have been made since this screenshot.
  4. I'm proud to announce that a new Flying Wing type stealth bomber has been completed and is currently undergoing testing for stability.
  5. Planning on making a video? Very nice can't wait to see!
  6. You can have up to 10 control surfaces, its just that 8 have to be inactive meaning you turn their responsiveness off via the tweakable system. There is no limit for using normal wing parts for downforce, so add all you want. Once you have enough downforce, your car should be stable enough to have all 4 wheels with turning on and not roll even on sharp corners going at full speed. That was my goal at least.
  7. Is it bad to suggest my own challenge? Naw. You should try my KSC World Supercar Championships. The race itself is, on average, about 9 minutes and 30 seconds long. Designing a car takes only as long as you want it to. Go as fast as you can around the circuit.
  8. All ssto's are fragile... Considering the amount of wing parts. Besides I gurentee it is very possible.
  9. I can already see this being cheated by making vast cargo bays made of hundreds of small light parts...
  10. Downforce from wings tilted downwards helps a lot, mostly with cornering though. I believe that higher speed is created by lifting surfaces in general and a lighter design.
  11. I added your new car thermal, and I think static control surfaces are fine. Perhaps I will remove the rule where you can have 2 active control surfaces? Idk
  12. Time to get out the BlackStar again Also pb that is really fast...
  13. Goodbug I am annoyed that you posted almost the same challenge twice...why?
  14. Yes that is what i am trying to avoid. infiglider cars were not the intent of this challenge
