Thanks for your kind words everyone! I'm very happy to have found KSP and this community. The lander I used is probably a very common design, closely modeled after Scott Manley's lander in his YouTube tutorials. Here's a screenshot. Hope I'm doing it correctly to show in this message...

Hey All, New to KSP and just completed my very first landing... it was on Minmus. What a blast. I know this is considered a pretty basic event but it was a big step for me having just become comfortable with achieving orbit. Thanks to all who take time to post instructional videos. Foolery
