  1. How did you get the multicolored spacesuit?
  2. New Career, Delete, New Sandbox, Repeat
  3. I don't but Devs say theywill work on it after career
  4. Hey guys, With this DevNote, and even DevNotes past, I've been hearing some heated debates about Development leaning towards career mode. I understand that Sandbox is always being updated when career mode gets updated even though Career gets more features than sandbox. But isn't that the way it should be? Anyway, I've started 3 career games since it was introduced but my latest one is the one that I got the farthest in but I usually stop playing and start a Sandbox. I Just like the RPG pliability especially when I use Crew Manifest to give my Kerbals rank, and Final Frontier to give them Ribbons. But i still do probe incursions and would still like R&D to be open at least the Archives, and see the witty science notes when i do science. That being said I would love to hear your take on this debate and see what you guys play the most. Thanks.
  5. I think you need to quit being a baby. You don't work for squad, you know nothing of their work loads or the way they handle them, you probably know nothing of game development and are on a Rant when if you're that up set there's a Mod to suit your needs until it's implemented, IF it will be implemented. Squad has already announced that resources are "Shelved indefinitely". And whether or not Squad decides to change something might make you upset keep this in mind; SQUAD DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU. They might try to add in some requests here and there but they are going to go in the direction they want to because it's they're game.
  6. So yeah, with .23 I haven't been using probes. With Transmission caps, needing a lab to use some experiments more than once, Manned missions generate more science, and solar panels in the mid of tech tree, did squad render probes useless?? If you don't use TacLife or RemoteTech than is there any real reason to use Satellites?
  7. He's dead. My first flight of my career save i launched a rocket (kinda silly thing to), it blew up as i expected but instead of hitting the revert flight button i hit TRACKING STATION....oh well.
  8. Well when some starts flipping out about it just say "That's the way Peter went out."
  9. Scott Manley ran into an issue similar to this, he had to update FAR to fix it.
  10. Hello internet, I was just wondering if anyone knew how to edit parts and make them grab-bable(??) with the KAS mod. See i have the Tarsier tech installed and would love to have the HDD drives capable of being in a container and being picked up.
  11. "Fate has ordained that the men who went to the moon to explore in peace will stay on the moon to rest in peace. These brave men, Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin, know that there is no hope for their recovery. But they also know that there is hope for mankind in their sacrifice....In ancient days, men looked at stars and saw their heroes in the constellations. In modern times, we do much the same, but our heroes are epic men of flesh and blood."-William Saffire, Moon disaster speech.
  12. Another Point, I wish the R&D was open in sandbox so i don't have to to unlock parts but i still get access to the Archives.
  13. First I start bymaking a Lander or Probe or something and save it with a name: Emily Probe (Wife's name) Then I attach the Launch vehicle, then i strip it off and put it into sub assemblies with a name: Mary Rocket (Mom's Name[usually the name is important people in my life]) then Launch with name Emily Probe 01 (Numeric for probes & Roman for Ships) Lets say i launch it to the mun, but the same design can go to Minnmus, Then i'll Load the Emily Probe, attach a Mary Rocket and Launch with name Emily Probe 02. So i just launched the Emily two with a Mary two rocket.
  14. I'm not saying I hate the idea of progression thats actually pretty cool. But I mean the way "Science" works dosent make sense to me. Like I don't see Bill Nye saying "Water on Titan!? Solar Panels! and this temperature reading? Bigger Wheels!" rocket* But there is going to be Currency in the game at part cost, why not let the money you earn from missions unlock parts, like Funding for R&D. Then we can let "Science" be Science.
  15. I just think a simple tech tree is inappropriate for a game of this stature. I Mean I don't like the idea of using a surface sample or a seismic reading to just unlock more rockets. Don't get me wrong I like the idea that you have to unlock more rockets and stuff, just don't like using "Science" to do it. I don't think there's a sense of "Discovery" in the game which is really what NASA and JAXA are all about.
  16. bill bob Jeb ; Hello Everyone! I've been playing KSP since .18 but i'm just now joining the Forums Because i realize that there are modding Geniuses here. So some of my KSP experience involves alot of time figuring out how to dock, but now that i'm over that learning curve my possibilities are endless. I have a space station/Telescope Countless missions to the Mun and Minnmus under my belt and my Latest achievement is getting a Com Sat network Around Duna. I try to play realistically so I am so glad they added PermaDeath and crew is labeled "dead" and not "MIA" I installed Tac Life and was going to use Deadly reentry but i couldn't get the heat shield part to render. I Mostly play Sandbox because "My" idea of career mode was totally different then the "Devs" idea of career mode and i'm totally disappointed in the direction they went. But other than that Ksp is a great game and since i bought it at .18 i've logged 224 hours on Steam. Thanks guys see you out there! (cept not really)
  17. Can I just say that I hate the tech tree? I mean yes NASA is developing better technologies all the time, However I think KSP deserves Science that actually means something. Like a surface sample should be used to analyze the Mun not unlock a new rock ya know? It would just be cool to get a sense of "Discovery" from the game. Agree or no?
