  1. So I've been playing KSP for a while now, and maybe im looking at it with rosetinted goggles or something but has the game always stuttered (fps dropping from stead 80-120 to freeze for a split second) every 5 to 7 seconds or so, it seems pretty consistent and happens regardless of where in the game I'm loaded in? I'm currently running what I atleast consider a "light" amount of mods, my game version is 1.4.1 and I invested in the expansion to boot. Can't figure out what's happening or what's causing it but it's driving me absoloutely insane https://gyazo.com/bdaf2a0ac8318fad2bcef8bcf00cd0e1
  2. I'm running a barely-modded KSP 1.3.0, without Steam, on Ubuntu Mate 16.04.3 LTS. The computer this runs on is a Thinkpad T430, Core i7 (dual core) 2.9 GHz (w/ turbo to 3.4 GHz), 8 GB RAM, Intel graphics, and a platter hard disk with more than 100 GB free space in the /home partition. I also run, simultaneously, MilkyWay@Home, though with its "nice" priority setting it should release clock cycles and appear never to be there except for the small amount of RAM it uses (less than 1 GB). My mod list: Better Burn Time. I've noticed yellow clock routinely, since installation, with vessels as small as 30 parts. That seems to be about normal for a machine in this clock speed range. Today, however, I noted that from time to time the yellow clock would completely stop incrementing for up to fifteen or so real time seconds at a time. At the same time, my vessel (a 25 part space plane, flying approximately level, over open ocean out of sight of land, on jet power at around 200 m/s) would completely freeze, ignoring control inputs, though the altimeter would continue to count up or down and sound (wind noise and the whistle of the Wheesley engines) played uninterrupted -- setting this apart from the stuttering sound that accompanies liftoff in a vessel with too many parts. I've noticed that my performance in this save (my first career, and the only save I play regularly at this time) has been going downhill over time, but this is ridiculous. What information is needed to determine and correct the problem?
  3. KSP Version: PC - Steam 64 bit, build id = 01289 2016.06.21 at 20:49:32 CEST Branch: master What Happens: I construct a ship in VAB (I've made a half dozen different craft from new - Career mode) then hit launch. About 70% of the time the launch screen appears, but with issues. There is no Kerbal crew image in the lower right corner, no controls are active (if I press T for SAS or throttle up / down buttons nothing happens, for example) and the STAGE light, instead of blinking green is a solid light purple color. I can rotate the camera and select components on screen as well as change staging order, but little else. Screenshot enclosed. Added later: I did notice that when the screen loads properly, there is a brief pause where the screen looks like my screenshot before loading in the missing elements. I also started a new game last night and this bug happened on the first launch. Mods / Add-Ons: None. New purchase & virgin install (via Steam) five days ago. No mods. Hardware: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz / 32 GB Ram / OCX PCIe SSD 256GB + RAID 1 3TB SATA HD / MSI GTX 980Ti 6G Gaming / ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z ROG / HTC Vive / Steam VR Rating: 12510 (I do not use VR for KSP, but it's a pretty solid gaming computer.) Running KSP at 1920 x 1080 most graphics settings maxed @ 60FPS. DXDiag attached. Steps to Replicate: I just hit launch. Roughly 70% of the time, it hangs up the launch screen as shown in screenshot. Result: Cannot launch. Must back out and reload game from main menu. If I do that, it usually works. Fixes/Workarounds: Quit to main menu and reload game. Works after that, for a time. Other Notes/Pictures/Log Files: Enclosed in Zip file here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/pjr1nq4urvk4tu2/KSP_Bug.zip - buildID64.txt - DXDiag.txt - Screenshot - Output_log.txt
