How do I connect to my server???

So I rented a server. But there appears to be nowhere in the local game client (Steam version) to actually tell it to connect to a server. I mean this sounds like an almost embarrassingly simple question to ask, but just where do I tell the client that I don't want to play a local game, but to instead connect to the server I've rented.......

Sounds like you are trying to play DMP?

Welcome! I haven't played multiplayer since KMP, so I don't really know. (though in KMP there was a menu in-game that you could use to do all that). I would suggest making a post in the DMP thread, they should be able to help you.
