Experimental parts never out of experimental

I took a contract where I needed to test the Poodle, so I got that part for free without having to research it though it was marked as "Experimental".

However, after researching "Heavy Rocketry" the part is still experimental. Does it ever loose its experimental status? (Does it even matter?)

Well, I'm slightly confused here. It it supposed to lose the experimental status the moment you complete its contract. Have you completed it? Also, upon researching stuff you need to pay the entry fee. Did you do that?

Yes, I completed the contract, and yes, I paid the entry fee.

Do you have another experimental contract for the same part? Could be when you complete that one it will switch back to normal.

No, I don't have any other contracts for that specific part.

Then it's just strange. But if it doesn't limit you, just let it be. As far as I know, the only problem is that the part is blue in editor...

I've seen this bug. You can correct it with some persistence editing, but no it does not limit you.
