Mass Effect's Citadel as a planet (question)

Total noob here, spitting the question out there.

Can the Citadel in Mass Effect be modded not as a space craft, but like a fixed planet such as those in the already existing alternate solar system mod packs?

Guess that would be rather awesome... Would it not?

Not with existing tools like Kopernicus, no. It has to do with the way the game defines a planet's position, gravity and surface features.

You'd have to teach the game to accept a wholly custom on-rails object for this to work.

Probably not something as complex as a Citadel, but a Death Star _might_ be feasible.

Also, SWDennis (look him up) has made a 10 or so km large Citadel if that's what you want.
