Shuttle 2112

The 2112 series is the successor to the Libra II series of 1.0. It comes in Cargo, Passenger, Long-Range, and Hybrid variants. 

Pictured here is the 2112-H. It's my primary station service shuttle, flying regular missions to my science station to rotate crew and bring up more snacks.

Every shuttle in the 2112 series is docking-capable, has jet engines for atmospheric flight, a long-range antenna, solar panels and radiators. Stages have been designed with Stage Recovery in mind for maximum Funds return.

Shuttle YYZ

Shuttle YYZ is the next step in N.I.R.D.S.'s shuttle development. It's rated for payloads up to 12 tons to LKO, and makes an excellent station module delivery vehicle. 

Shuttle YYZ has a monopropellant OMS, giving it about ~100 m/s of dV for orbital maneuvers. It's not really designed to go beyond LKO, but the range can be extended by devoting payload capacity to extra fuel; I've taken it to low Munar orbit and back that way. All the Mk3 form factor parts used on YYZ are from the "Heavy Aerodynamics" node of the stock tech tree, making it a viable vehicle as early as possible.

Stages have been designed with Stage Recovery in mind for maximum Funds return.

Pre-Comm Satellite

The Pre-Comm is usually the first permanent satellite I launch in a Career game. They're dirt-cheap at just over 2,000 funds each, and are a study in planned obsolescence. They're stopgap sats that establish a comm network for craft in LKO until I get further in the tech tree and can replace them with the more-powerful K-Comm. 

Note that if you don't use RemoteTech this satellite is not for you!

K-Comm Satellite

The K-Comm is my permanent RemoteTech communication solution for the Kerbin system. A constellation of 4 K-Comm units in 90-degree offset 777x777 orbits can cover LKO, Mun and Minmus. The Reflectron KR-7 dish can also target craft going into or out of Kerbin's SOI. 

Once again, this satellite is only useful for RemoteTech users.

MagSat

This one is for users of DMagic Orbital Science. MagSat is intended for the long-term magnetic field survey contracts that mod introduces. I put the solar collector on too because there's no such thing as too much Science!

This is the "basic" model which is only equipped with a Communotron 16; RemoteTech users should retrofit appropriate antennae if you plan on sending it beyond LKO.
