How would civilization progress past industrial era on such planet?

It would probably have denser atmosphere with higher sea level pressure, surface gravity and lower landmass/total area percentage.

Would be such planet more resilient towards negative side of technological progress?

How would space exploration look? Lets say it has moon similar to our own and be in similar solar system.

Would be nuclear/microwave beam powered boosters needed to reach low orbit of Super Earth?
