kerbin wars 2 aircraft and more

I've made a series of aircraft from WW2 hope you all like it.

I used NAS just for the weapons because they're practically impossible to make them out from stock at such a small size and not all parts can do the functions the weapons in NAS does

I tried to make the replicas have the same characteristics to the real plane 

I will make german, british, soviet and more aircraft in the future 

American 

1. f4u korsair

Based of the f4u corsair, a naval fighter but later served the marines

• folded wings ( inferno robotics)
• 3 guns on each wing
• flies fast relatively compared to other planes and can hold tight turns

 

I'm still trying to make some adjustments to the landing gear, they bounce on the runway quite a lot, making it unstable, the same applies to some of my other planes ( maybe I'm a bad pilot )

2. f6f Hellkat

Again, folded wings, 3 guns on each wing and with similar issues to the f4u korsair

3. Sb2c Helldiver

• folded wings
• bomb bay
• armament: 3 bombs, 2 50 cal guns on each wing respectively, rear 50cal turret
• flies relatively fast and can pull hard maneuvers, still working on tightening turns shortening the pull up distance
• can fit rear gunner ( 2nd kerbal )
• Can withstand high Gs

4.TBF Avenger

• slower compared to other us carrier based aircrafts
• armaments: 1 50 cal machine gun on each wing, 1 torpedo, 2 50 cal turrets one on top and the other bellow
• no extra kerbal seats

I actually think that I made this aircraft quite realistic in terms of appearance and details

5. f4f Wildkat

Just shifted the wings of the helkat higher and made the body a little bit more chubby. And of course the front landing gear.

6. Higgins boat

• Dropping front ramp
• 2 machine guns
• seat for driver
• can go forwards and backwards

 

Imperial Japanese

All japanese aircraft replicas wont have folded wings ( because im lazy ) and are generally more lightweight compared to American aircraft.

1. Mitsubishi A6M2 zero

• nose and wing 50 cal guns, 4 in total
• external fuel tanks ( optional )
• pretty agile and stable

2. Aichi D3A Val

• Slower than other aircraft on the list
• no retractable landing gear (just like the real one)
• can withstand high Gs 
• sharp turns
• armament: 50 cal turret for rear gunner, 1 50 cal machine gun on each wing
• can fit extra kerbal at rear gunner seat

3. Nakajima B5N2 Kate 

• flies similar to the D3A val, slower than other aircrafts
• armament: 1 torpedo, rear 50 cal turret, 1 50 cal machine gun on each wing
• extra rear kerbal as gunner

German

1. Flak guns

spaghetti kerman on his flak gun

• used NAS gun because to get the mid air exploding shell

 

British

Supermarine spitfire

• 4 50 cal guns on each wing
• flies OK, slightly slower than the hellcat
• it was quite hard to make the body slimmer because most ksp parts are limited to be round
• not much functions but more from the look

Nice to see my carrier going into some good use .

Some nice planes here as-well , very similar to my own build style back in the day.

 

BTW, how did you manage to get the carrier to stay together, as my own original just explodes as soon as the physics kick in.

It explodes sometimes but it works fine most of the time. Probably because I used vessel mover and I added more struts

 your hanger is still a little too short when the wings are folded and the propeller just barely fits if none of the blades faces up

But that's a hell of a ksp creation

I also slightly modified your carrier to look like  USS Enterprise CV6
