homemade jets and rockets

I do not think you should make an after burner for a duct fan. Flame holders are used to make sure the flame isn't blown out by the rapid acceleration of air through the engine.

PS: I really do no think you should do this especially to an electric duct fan. If your machine fails it will catastrophically and unsafely.

thanks for your suggestion!!!!

but the jet engine follows the same principle right??? air comes in to the chamber, air is slowed down, fuel is given, then then that  mix is ignited. the gas expands and tries to escape.  this is lead through a nozzle thus creating thrust.

iam not making an afterburner, iam installing an actual GT combustion chamber after the edf.

(edf and chamber are not in direct contact)

actual GT combustion chamber, instead of those axial compressors, i use the edf.

the thrust is made only if the combustion persists inside the chamber and that is done the flame holders. so it plays a major roll in creating thrust ryt??

plzz tell your suggestions.
