Looking at your models, you probably want to smooth out your meshes in Blender/Wings3D, and add (but not apply) Split Edge modifiers to the cutouts in the sphere.

Thanks for the tips, I'll look into doing that. I was honestly rushing a bit on these first models, and I think taking my time might help Also, uploading another pic just for scale.

 

Edit: As of tomorrow I'm probably going to remodel those bits I've made so far in a slightly different and easier style, and not worry too much about keeping a low poly count. I'll use a higher res texture next time too.
