game dosn't auto update and i cant keep rebuying ksp and it's dlcs

game does not auto update and i have already paid twice due to it and i cant update it with the launcher

The launcher has never worked for me either. I think it's best to just pretend the launcher doesn't exist.

To get the latest version of the game, assuming you bought it on the KSP store:
Just log in with your store account (there's an "Account" button on the top right of the KSP website). The store will then show your purchases, and have a big blue "Download" button for KSP, that will bring you to downloads for the latest version.

That is a complicated question because KSP lets you choose where the game goes.

On Windows, by default you probably have KSP at c:/KSP_WIN64. 

If you have a slow internet connection, you get the patcher, like KSPx64-Patch-1.9.0-To-1.9.1.exe, let your browser put that .exe-file it wherever the default location is, run that .exe-file, which will then ask you where your KSP is installed (probably c:\KSP_WIN64).

If you have a fast internet connection, it is easiest to get KSPInstallerx64-1.9.1.exe, run it, and accept the default directory.  

When I download a new version I make a new directory c:/KSP191, install the new KSP there, copy my settings .cfg from the old version to the new one, and maybe delete the old directory after I'm sure I like the new version.
