Is there any simpler 3D modelling programs than Blender?

I have seen that most of the KSP mod builders used Blender to make their parts. Since I am completely new to 3D modelling, and I find it hard to use Blender yet have some brilliant mod ideas in my mind, is there any 3D software that are easier to use? I mean the ones that can do part animation too.
