Need fix for playing at 4k

So I dunno what is going on here, im in the latest windows 10 version as of typing this. I recently got a 4k tv 55" and while KSP has the UI scaling it does not effect font and it is jsut entirely unreadable I have fried a few fixed I found on steam forum and on reddit but ive gotten nowhere with it. I dont even mind playing the game at a lower resolution quite frankly, the issue is I set it to a lower resolution, apply it. Go and check that its been applied. And reboot the game and when I go its back to 4k resolution. I even looked at my settings.cfg it states my resolution is currently SCREEN_RESOLUTION_WIDTH = 2560 SCREEN_RESOLUTION_HEIGHT = 1440 but in game itis still reading 4k. Does anyone have an answer for this?

Microsoft Windows seems to change the pixel-density back to whatever Windows is using, between scene-changes in KSP.   Not every scene-change, but I find I cannot play for long until it happens. 

I just switch my screen-resolution in Windows before starting KSP.  You can see what other people have done here:

Thank you for the thread, I see the directions in the first reply before but they were not written as clearly and I applied them wrong. (I also had to make an alteration from the settings in the top reply.) I ended up fixing it by.

 

Right-click your main KSP executable and click properties. Head over to the Compatibility tab.

Check the box that says "Disable Fullscreen Optimizations."

Click on "Change High DPI settings" and change your scaling setting from Application to "System"

The system enhanced mode like in the orginal reply didnt work for me but the standard system mode did.

Look up the ‘4ksp’ mod, it’s exactly what you’re looking for to scale the UI elements up for larger screen resolutions and is a very simple mod to install and use.
