Does anyone know a good video editing software ?

I am kinda newb at this. I managed to produce the raw footage, but now I need to cut it into the final video and add a voice over. Does anyone know a good and preferably free video editing software ? What are u using to make your youtube videos ?

If your running windows OS you could use the built in windows movie maker for the basic stuff. If you want to do anything fancier go for Lightworks. It has a free version but could take you a while to get the hang of, maybes refer to some YouTube tutorials. If you ever find you need even more powerful softwear Abode Premier Elements is a good steeping-stone into the world of being slightly poorer.

Get Vegas. It costs ~50$ and there is a free version.

I use AVIdemux as my video editor. Does cutting/inserting/re encoding. You can add a separate sound stream into the encoding process for voice overs.

How serious are you about making videos? If this is a one-time only kind of project, then maybe one of the free options will work well enough. My personal experience has been that none of the free or low-budget options are worth the aggravation of dealing with all their bugs and limited features. I eventually shelled out the $90 for Vegas Movie Studio Platinum, and couldn't be happier.

I use Windows Movie Maker for my videos. It's extremely primitive compared to packages like Vegas, Premier, or After Effects, but it's free, and a lot easier and faster to use, as long as you don't need anything fancy.

Agreed! Most people I watch just use movie maker, and they have about 1k subs.
