Koffee: Why kerbals NEVER sleep

Kerbals need SOMETHING to keep themselves awake during missions. Notice how they never seem to sleep, they are always terrified, excited, etc during missions. This is because of the substance created by the KSP called "Koffee". Koffee consists of 4 major ingredients: Kocoa Beans, grown and found in the Island and tropical regions of Kerbin, it gives the Koffee a better flavor, Water, this gives the Koffee a liquid state, (preferably making it easier to consume by the kerbalnaut). Other ingredients added by the Kerbals, such as Milk, fresh from the Dairy farms to north of the K.S.C, sugar, to sweeten it, etc. And finally a classified substance to extend the Koffee's effect at keeping Kerbals awake.

This is how Kerbals never, EVER sleep.

Coincidentally, that mysterious substance is also main ingredient in Solid Rocket Booster's fuel. Due to its high energy density, one thermos can provide a kerbonaut with enough nutrients to reach Eeloo and come back.

Paradoxically, drinking de-fueled Koffee is seen as a badge of honour amongst pilots after Jebediah Kerman famously claimed never to have touched the real stuff because 'Why use Koffee when adrenaline and the wonder of space are enough to keep real pilots awake!

This statement was made at a press conference celebrating the success of the 'Eeloo Run' (Eeloo and back in under 2 years) and mission controllers confirmed that medical telemetry and video footage conclusively proved that Commander 'Jeb' Kerman not only stayed awake for the entire mission but was could generally found to be grinning like a loon at any given moment.
