Half-Life 3? Discussion

Supposedly they'll announce SteamBox on Wednesday, and hopefully a whole bunch of SteamOS games on Friday. At least that would make sense; you can't announce a platform without announcing some new games for it, too.

SteamOS will apparently run the existing library of Linux games, and stream from other platforms. What I'm really interested to see is if more developers will finally start focusing on Linux because of this.

I tell ya one thing when HL3 comes out it'd better be made first for PC/Steambox. THEN port it to consoles if they find it valuable. No offence to console only users, but developing for that platform would gimp the game. Make it how they want first then downgrade it to run on next gen consoles.

As for the game itself.. I'm sure their just waiting for new tech. DX12 anyone? Lol. And there.is always source2.

Or Fallout 4, Starcraft 6, The Elder Scrolls IX: Elsweyr, ... et cetera?

Just add a non steam executable and rename it...
