Working telescope? (W/Kethane??)

So I was watching some twitch.tv today when I caught a comment about a working telescope mod that included Kethane detection. I wasn't able to get more info before the user disconnected. Some quick Internet searching shows me that there are some "working" telescope mods, but I didn't see any that would detect Kethane deposits. (I'm talking kerbin orbit for the telescope and it detecting on whatever body is in its sights).

Has anyone heard of such a mod??

I don't think that's possible without additional plugins. A scanner will only scan within the SoI its in, despite the range. You could add the scanner module to the ORDAN telescope, but its only going to scan within current SOI.

That's what I thought also. Maybe a confused person was in the channel.
