Hehe, too easy. I was also worried each of the jet engined probes may count as a ship.

p.s. I can't help but wonder what happened to the three brave kerbals who caught the rock. Also, I bet Frank was nervous as heck having 157 tons sitting right above his head!!

Oh they are alive and well. Deorbited at the same time as the asteroid and parachuted safety. Frank was just glad that that particular vehicle worked first go. He has sort counseling to get over the failures of the previous designs.

What if all debris burns up/crashes into kerbin? Does it still count as debris? Or do we have to design a SSTA&B ship?

Hey there, I'd like to throw in my shot at recovering an asteroid! I brought down a completely depleted asteroid only weighing 6.3tons at touch down. I believe I scored about 130 points according to the rule guide, but I'll let OP decide my final score. (Does detachable parachute claws count as multiple ships?)
