Can we complete contracts by activating via hotkey?

I tried activating a radial decoupler with all the needs met with the action key (I assigned it to 1), but didn't complete the contract. Not sure if this is intended since it does say you need to stage a part, but the ability to do so via hotkey would be helpful.

I think you answered your own question.

When it says stage, it means stage. That's been my experience.

Unfortunately it only works via staging or (sometimes) by right clicking the part and pressing Run Test. I also really wish they would let you do it with hotkey, though. It's annoying.
