Xbox 360 Controller Setup

I use the non-steam version so the steam link does't help -
I have tried a lot to get my xbox 360 controller to work for ksp the ABXY, LB, RB start and select button work but i can't get the triggers, Sticks or the Dpad to work if you can help me or tell me how to make them work please do
