I have to say your idea inspired me a lot to try this by myself. And what shall I tell you - my 2 engine RAM turbojet rocket weighs 9.6t and lifts more than 6t into a 80km orbit. The 3 engined variant with a mass of 11.3t lifts 10t payload up to a 80km orbit. It is so much fun to optimize the ascent path to get the craft up there.
