Inclination changes are best done at slow speeds. So if you increase your orbit then warp out to the slowest point (apoapsis) and do the inclination change from there it will be less expensive then just going for it. Grav assists are also a good idea but could require allot of fiddling with manover nodes. So for less game time id just go for increase orbit and then change inclination. for extra savings in sure a grav assist would work.

Reversing the Dv equation.

Thank you so much. the first one i came across that i could understand was the one above. I quickly checked it against different dry masses and different Dv's and it worked like a charm. Id do that if i had any idea how to do that symbol XD -
I have been watching the below video a few times trying to understand how he finds the fuel he will need to achieve his mission. The Dv equation is easy enough so iv been trying the equations he has sown in the video and checking my answer with the Dv equation afterwards and no matter how many times i try i don't get the Dv i put in to the equation. Ill quickly run through what iv been doing. i do hope you can spot what iv done wrong. e^(Dv/Isp/g) = X Then i find the fuel mass by doing d x (X-1)/1 + X/9 giving me F at least that's the impression i got but its wrong as when i add F to the mass and adjust for dry mass then punch it all in to the Dv equation i get a total different Dv to what i punched in originally.

I remember that. It was about 2000 parts. Im surprised his computer didn't give up on him.

Its not easy so dont expect a working one first time. Its a project youll have to come back to once in a while as you get more ideas.

Awesome i will defiantly check your stuff out. If i start getting in to ship designing i may need to make somewhere to store them all. -
Iv actually done a docking while still taking off before. it was fun XD

The docking bay doors do work entirely off the un-docking force. The only time i have problems is with something i don't quite understand with KSP and its docking. Now and again the doors will close just how you want them too and now and again they wont close and will open again. I cant explain it. Id defiantly like to see it. -
Thank you. my friend works as a video editor so when i showed it to him the best i got was 'its alright.' XD which i guess is pretty good as i don't do it for a living.

Thank you both. Means allot. I assume the shuttle in your signature is the one. ill check it out when i get time. -
thanks means allot. put allot of effort in to this.

Space shuttle I have been working on this project for a while. Was very happy once i got the cargo doors working but that surprisingly was the easy part. The take off style i wanted to do took the most work. It can be fiddly but worth it once you get it working its worth it. It has a medium docking port as that's the main universal port for ship docking with stations and has enough fuel to either drop off cargo in orbit and return or do a meet up but it will need fuel to return after a meet up unless your really good with RCS.
