  1. Most all of us have a favorite science fiction movie, and even more of us have a item from these films that we would like to have. Since my favorite science fiction movies (I can't pick just one!) are The Matrix and the Star Wars original Trilogy, my favorite item would be have to be one of these. I think you all know what I am going to pick.....

    The Holocumminicator!

Just kidding. No, I would much rather have a lightsaber. Because, well, who would turn down a lightsaber? It's a beam of plasma that can cut through almost anything (supposedly). Seriously, science, you need to get on lightsaber making. On a side note, there is actually a website that sells custom built lightsabers in any color called UltraSabers. So that's what I'm getting myself once I amass $80 + shipping. Anyway, post your favorite Sci Fi items!

  2. Hey guys (and gals for that matter), I have a bit of a dilemma. I may upgrade my home console in the near future, and I cannot seem to decide between the two front-runners. So tell me, which one should I buy? PS4 or Xbox One?

In the interest of organization, I have provided a list of pros and cons below. The ones in this list are the ones that apply to me/ones I care about.

    XBOX ONE

For those who do not know, the Xbox one is made by Microsoft. It is a

blocky console with many ports, but looks like a brick.

    PROS

It is less expensive at $350

I will definitely get part of the price reduced when I trade in my Xbox 360

It will connect to my Windows 10 computer so I can play games there

    Two words: Backwards compatibility

    CONS

I will have to pay $60 per year for multiplayer and Netflix access

I also have to deal with Microsoft's incessant updates and stuff

    BOOOOOORING exclusives (well, mostly)

    PLAYSTATION 4

The PS4 is a console made by Sony. It is quite a bit

sleeker and better looking than the X1, but at the

expense of a couple of ports.

    PROS

It does not cost any money for multiplayer or Netflix

    It has ever-so-slightly better graphics.

Much better exclusives (In my OPINION)

Would work better with my Sony TV

Looks a lot better than the X1

    CONS

I might not get trade-in value for my X360

More expensive at $400 w/o game

    NO BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY

Would have to sell all my games and buy new ones

So there you have it. The pros and cons of two "next gen" gaming systems. Now, before you rush to reply that I should get a PC, I do not have the money for that. So post your reply, and vote in the poll (If it actually works). You may have an impact on which one I end up choosing. Just please don't say "Wii U".

  3. Hey there-

So I was trying to build a cargo plane earlier today with stock parts that had a ramp, a bunch of wings, and an opening door.

The less said about that, the better.

Anyway, I decided to resort to modding. The only problem is that my computer is slightly a potato. It dies with B9 and KW Rocketry (at least in previous versions). So I need a part pack with a Goldilocks amount of parts. Big enough to be versatile and have many options when building, but small enough to be easy to learn and not be sifting through pages and pages and pages and ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz......

Any help on finding this pack would be much appreciated. :D

  4. Just yesterday I decided to go back to my old .25 save file. (and by 'decided' I mean accidentally clicked on) What I found there was pretty cool. There were plenty of ships that didn't work and were barely half finished. Many of them were something inspired by a craft I saw on the forums, and decided to, quite literally, build on. Many more were things I got frustrated with when they didn't work, and then abandoned them. With all the new stuff in 1.0 and 1.02, I had entirely forgotten about some of my older crafts.

So my question is this. What are some of your best (or worst) unfinished/old crafts?

I don't have pics yet, but I had a base that I wanted to put on Duna. Unfortunately, the thing was so heavy that I had to custom build a giant asparagus stage rocket (I usually build non-asparagus lifters) just to get it into orbital height. Then Mechjeb decided to not to boost at apoapsis and it plummeted through the atmosphere as I distractedly read a book  I probably should have turned on the sound. The ineptitude is strong with this one.

Anyway, after that I just forgot about it as it sat in the back of my hanger gathering dust.

Another design I had was from... .23? .24? I don't really know. I tried to build a Lear Jet from the old and heavy Mk3 fuselage. It also had only 2 of the weaker jet engines. Plus I was trying to fly it on essentially 2 or so swept wings.

I really should stop talking. I am just going to make myself sound inept.

  5. Hello! Recently I have been fiddling around with VTOLs, but couldn't ever get it to fly right. Thankfully, I had a breakthrough!

May I introduce the Lithium 1! It is a 3 engine VTOL that looks okay and seats 4 kerbals. The side pieces and the tiny cupolas at the back are from the Stockalike Base Parts mod.

It is actually pretty maneuverable and flies pretty well. Unless, of course, you are me.

The fact that I have a potato computer and am abysmal at flying VTOLs might have something to do with it.

Also, here's the download link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mpi9kpyov0ostkq/SC%20Dropship.craft?dl=0

  6. So I have played KSP for a while now and I have mechjeb installed. However, in the face of hundreds of pages of other mods, what other mods should I use?

I would rather not have something like KW Rocketry or B9 Aerospace as I don't really want too many new parts.

    Any recommendations for me?

  7. Its a long story.

I was really into the show Mythbusters (and still am, even though they took it off Netflix and started their own streaming service). I was watching the episodes and came across one where the mentioned the radioactive Cobalt 60. They tested this on cockroaches etc., but I thought "Cobalt 60" sounded really cool. I used Cobalt60 as my username on a typing racecar game and it stuck. To this day, Cobalt is my favorite element, apart from lithium.
