  1. I have found the easiest way is to judge it by your time to AP. If you have reasonably high TWR then just keep the time to AP at around 20-30 seconds and that will give you a pretty decent ascent path. For low TWR rockets (i.e. upper stages that might have less thrust) keep the AP out to between 40-50 seconds.
  2. Episode 6 is now live. In this episode things finally explode and we get a ton of science from it (but more importantly, things explode!)
  3. Episode 5 of KSP is now live. In this Episode we head to Duna and use the KSP Interstellar version of the Seismic Accelerometer (and a few explosions) to get a ton of science! http://youtu.be/gks34Ozgspk
  4. Episode 4 of KSP is now live where I shoot a test kerbal into interplanetary space to see if he explodes and mess about a bit with big solid rocket boosters. http://youtu.be/bWYE_Udv2vo
  5. Really love this mod. I know it has been mentioned many, many times before but would be amazing if you could integrate Kethane, Interstellar and extraplantery launch pads scanners into the maps (pretty sure its not possible but would still be really cool ). For anyone who wants to get a better idea about how it works or wants to see it in action I have just uploaded an episode where I use it to scan the Mun and Minmus which covers some of the basics. http://youtu.be/HHA1nBGF-6o
  6. Episode 3 is now live. In this episode we play a little with infernal robotics and map the Mun and Minmus using ScanSat.
  7. Thank you. First episode is a little basic for people that have played KSP quite a bit but I also wanted it to serve as a bit of an introduction for the people that haven't played it before or are just getting started. Future episodes cut out a lot more of the "newbie"/slow stuff
  8. So for a long time I have been thinking about starting my own YouTube gaming channel and now I have finally actually done it. At the moment I plan to have "Let's plays" on The hunter, Kerbal Space Program, Banished and Minecraft. Duranis Plays Modded Kerbal Space Program. Episode 1 - Humble Beginnings. http://youtu.be/4u58H-r2ho4 In this first episode I try and cover all the basics of playing so handy if you are new to KSP and have no idea what is going on. Episode 2 - Fly me to the Mun! Episode 3 - ScanSat and Infernal Robotics - Scanning the Moons! Episode 4 - Interplanetary Space and booster rocket fun. Episode 5 - Heading to Duna and Scientific Explosions! Episode 6 - Finally Explosions! Conclusion of our Interstellar Mod impactor experiment on Duna. 9. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/rcs-build-aid-v0-2/ Would strongly recommend trying this out to check your rcs placement. I had a terrible time trying to get to grips with docking and just couldn't manage it. Turns out that my biggest problem was bad rcs placement. Even though I always thought it was well balanced just a small amount of rotational torque on your rcs when you are translating can really mess you up. Now that I have the rcs placement correct I have found even docking quite large parts (200+ tons) is fairly easy.
  10. Nothing overly special to be honest. AMD FX 4100 Quad core 16GB Ram Cheap 1TB harddrive Geforce GTX 560 Have a small overclock going on the GFX and CPU but doesn't really need it. For a budget gaming system built a year or 2 ago it performs pretty nicely Can run most current games at full settings without to many issues.
  11. Just finished putting together the main parts of my Orbital Microwave Power transmitter in geostationary orbit. So far it weighs in at just under 400Tons and was built over 4 launches. Pretty happy with it as this is the first time I have done any docking successfully. This is setup for the interstellar mod in career mod to transfer power around the Kerbin system with a relay network. Still have plans to add a few more bits to it (habitation ring, Fuel dump (regular fuel and for the nukes), docking ring).
