  1. so I just got quite enough science to get the turbo jets and the ram intakes. Logically this means my V-wing Series needs an upgrade. Therefore I present to you the V-wing Gamma Mark II This baby is pretty heavy and it costs her a lot of the runway to start horizontally, but she can make it. In vertical Mode, however she gently lifts her body from the ground. Two Rockomax Radial engines provide the lift necessary. they also have to run on 2/3 or more to climb I'm just back of the test run. The mission? get jeb back down from the fuel station at 250km orbit. Sadly I forgot to record or make screenshots from this pretty succesfull mission. bill just had enough fuel to manuver himself on to the fuel sation. jeb hopped right into the 2nd seat and let bill make the return flight. Landing was ... interesting, to say the least. even at low fuel the ship still nees some thrust on the jets or it falls right out of the sky. thankfully the vertical engines could provide enough lift to gently glide down pretty close of the runway. So what should I say. the test went sucessfully and I'll use this ship for most missions in the future. Getting the air intakes, the fuel lines and the additional fuel tank to fit nicely was a bit of tedious work but I'm kind of proud of the outcome.
  2. thank you. It jsut happens that I like to use this 2 person design to do numerous rescue missions and decided to use it as my standard moon lander. and with the time came variations. also V shaped wings are cool and always remind me of tiefighter. Been looking around your stuff and getting some inspiration. I am still trying to get a SSTO/VTOL Plane working ad my tec level, but the lack of parts really hurts. also my need to make something that looks cool rather than care about the utility usually distracts me a lot. I'm currently testing my video capture programm and therefore have some of the V-Wing beta showcasing a pretty steep descend
  3. Thank you! Aircrafts get a bit finicky due to all the balancing around but I really enjoy the editor, allways have enjoyed building my own stuff, so if you count my Lego childhood I've been building aircraft since 18 years but steam says I played for 120 Hours. Wow, so much already!? started mid december-ish. Ive been on mun, minmus and duna. still have to fly a rescue mission there...
  4. oof! finally got it all save down to the ground. might have busted some tires and maybe some nerves while retyping the whole thing (note to self, make post in offline editor first) but i was finally able to post, and would hereby invite you to take a peek at the Space Plane Hangar 42
  5. Hello and welcome! to my little construction site. glad you had Time to visit me and my little designs. I've been trying to keep Jeb distracted of the fact that he isn't leaving Kerbin for quite a while due to unmanned craft by providing him with a constant stream of the most stylish experimental planes I could come up with. and sometimes this also contributes to missions in progress. sometimes, though those planes malfunction and crash on Duna... Aniway, I'm getting carried away, you're here to see and try somethig, I guess. So without further Delay, let me present to you: eLGassi's Experimentals Booster-powered Boost Glider MKI Because we've all done it. Strap some Winglets and a seat on a booster and you're good to go. Jeb was a bit frightened at first, without the safety of a cockpit but he still was curious enough to fly this little deathtrap, and boy was it fun! this tiny devil accelerates furiously and the glides gently trough the sky, the landing could use some work, but jebediah survives to tell the tale! Turtle MKI A little more sophisticated, I present to you the Turtle. One Jet Engine is enough to start, fly and land this slow beauty and the twin boosters give him a short, strong boost to escape any possible threat. it also might be possible to enter an orbit firing them at topspeed at around 20 kilometers but I wouldn't recommendate it, As it completely lacks further means of Space capability. Planes Doppeldecker A bipane. Funny story, at first I was planning to build something along the line of a Tie-Fighter but I got carried away during further test-runs and alterations until suddenly I had this. Vtol 01 Well, a pretty stable Vtol, my first succesful vtol to be exact. I prefer my V-wing Vtol but this one also has a nice look. LFG Trying to mimick many sci-fi hovercrafts I came up with this. its pretty fun to just bounce around on kerbin with this, but better dont steer while on the ground while moving! V-Wing Series My Reliable multi-Purpose chassis has seen some alterations during many different missions, but allways being succesful. I also really love the wing-shape on this one. V-Wing Alpha Outfitted with a single rocket engine this craft was intended for landing on mun or minmus and returning back to kerbin V-Wing Beta With 3 jet engines this version is specialized in atmosferic flight capabilities. it also can hover quite well V-Wing Gamma kind of a Hybrid of Alpha and Beta this Iteration can switch in between rocket and jet power. the aditional weight makes it a bit slower but its all still perfectly manageable V-Wing Delta This design adds rocket wopered V-Tol capability to get rid of the problematic of landing on satellites. uff, got to piece this together twice due to me being slow and the forum disconnecting me, oh well. pictures express more that i could type down aniway, right? ... RIGHT!?? oh yeah, if you want to test this planes all by yourself be my guest. here you go! and good luck. did I already mention that this is all vanilla?
  6. ah, cool. Then I'll have to get down typing. This Thread doesnt land itself
  7. Well thank you very much, tower control. having stability problems, trying to resolve. whats up with the avatar thingy, found the edit options but only the option to delete is showing. did I miss something?
  8. Ready to build and fly a couple of cool space and aircraft. Playing vanilla Kerbal up til now, I think I'm halfway trough the tec-tree and prefer to finish it up before installing mods. I've been having plenty fun, especially desingning stuff and thought it'd be a good idea to share some with you. My thread will land on the correct spot shortly, let's hope nothing breaks, might even install some panic parachutes on there
