  1. sorry if this is covered in another post or another thread, but I've done a bit of searching and haven't quite come up with an answer to the my question (I've seen things in the right direction, just not quite what I was looking for). With all the planets getting biomes does anyone know if there's going to be a way to have like a orbiting satelite perhaps, that can scan for different biomes? like if you were to get it into a polar orbit and just have it reveal the biome as it flys over the planet or something? I know there's some mod's that do something like this, but I'm curious if there'll be something official from Squad? I think it'd be cool to have unmanned satelites used in the game or something along those lines to relay important data. (and then a map overlay to show the location of the different biome) if this has been answered elseware feel free to delete this post. (though a PM with the location to the answer would be nice as well) thanks!
  2. I'm not sure if it'd be considered part of "Telescopes/Observatories" but I feel I've seen some sort of orbiting scanner to locate/map things on planets to. Like a satellite to orbit a body and locate all the biomes to explore. something along those lines.
  3. I agree about finding out where the Biomes are. At the point in the 0.23 release they display what biomes have been visited and done science in, I think it'd be nice if you could make some sort of satellite that you could equip with a type of scanner that would search the land for different biomes and map them out in some fashion. I feel like making a satellite to find those biomes would add another (little) dynamic to the game. I realize there's probably a mod for something like this already. but it'd be nice if it was part of the core game. I also agree with the other suggestions quoted, but my primary want would be the biome scanner.
