I bought the ipad Air when it first came out and had that stupid problem with the bad magnets. http://reviewshot.com/ipad-air-known-issue-faultybad-magnets-with-smart-cover/ I returned it and got a kindle and never looked back!

Yeah, they make small changes sometimes, usually for this worst. This time around seemed like an improvement.
